Schneider and Sandler Together Again... Uh Oh!
by Alex Billington
March 12, 2007
Back in early February I reported on a script that comedic greats Judd Apatow, Robert Smigel and Adam Sandler had written, titled You Don't Mess With the Zohan. News comes from The Hollywood Reporter that Rob Schneider is in talks to join Sandler on screen. As a reminder, the story focuses on a Mossad agent, played by Sandler, who fakes his death so he can move to New York and become a hair stylist, with Schneider's character described as an East Yistannen cab driver.
I like both Sandler and Schneider, but in recent years the movies these two have done together aren't that great. I'm a bit worried about this, especially after hearing how much of a farce it will be. It is under Happy Madison, Sandler's production company, so it may yet have a chance!
