Welcome to FirstShowing.net in 2008!

If you refresh the page you'll now see the slightly improved version of FS.net! We thought, why fix what ain't broken, so let's stick what everyone knows and loves the most. One of the newest elements is the logo. We designed a brand spankin' new and improved logo that will hopefully identify and brand the FirstShowing.net name everywhere you go. We've also added the new "Featured Articles" flash box in the upper right corner, and we're still working out a few kinks with that. Beyond that we're working on implementing a few tweaks and improvements in various places on the site. Read on for more details.
As you'll see, we have a link for a Forum but at the moment it is NOT currently up and running. Stay tuned, as that should launch within the next few days. Secondly, you may notice the new ad directly to the right of this article in the sidebar. That's there in order for us to make more money so that we can help bring all of you get better content. I've vowed never to run anything but movie-based and targeted ads that will please our readers, so it will never be an annoying distraction.
Lastly, if you have any difficulties or run into any problems with the site or notice any bugs at ALL, please let us know! Send me an email at Alex@firstshowing.net or leave a comment below. We really appreciate you guys letting us know if there is anything wrong since it's exhaustive to search through every last page and check the site from every different type of computer.
And of course, we'd certainly appreciate your thoughts on the look. Thank you for your patronage and we hope your enjoy! Onwards to an awesome 2008!

My thoughts and dreams have been answered! A forum! I'm looking forward to talking with you guys once it is up and running. The Ad doesn't bother me any, I also like the small tweaks to the design.

Nice changes, very subtle and nice. I'm with Richard, I hate it when sites that I'm familiar with have great sweeping changes all at once.
I look forward checking out the forums too, when they get up and running. Most of the comments left on the articles are thoughtful and relevant, I can't wait to see how this translates to the message boards.

I love how you guys kept it the same.
Can't wait to see whats next. This is by far the best site out there for what you guys are doing.

Like the new logo. Any chance of it appearing on t-shirts? I'd love to pimp one of my favorite sites. (Although I'd probably lose my movie nerd cred once they know my source…)

I like the new look of the site. the designs and color patterns look more vibrant and deep. the flash box is nice too, but it seems a little out of place because its not set with any other toolbars/links
good job

Nice improvements. The little touch ups are nice and you didn't change too much. The logo is cool too, you didn't change much, you just updated it a little bit. Good job guys!

I think you guys need to build in OpenID support for the site. There's a Wordpress add on for it. Very easy!
