2007: A Year for Drama Video

A lone tear rolls down my cheek as I watch this beautifully edited video titled 2007: A Year for Drama. I just discovered it courtesy of Hollywood Elsewhere and it's absolutely phenomenal. Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova's song "Falling Slowly" from Once is overlaid as the background music and it goes over some of the best dramas from 2007 - every last one. This is the kind of video you watch and you get that tingle down your spine and you realize why you spend your money to go see each and every one of this in theaters.
Holy shit, that was incredible!! After watching this I'll never forget 2007. There were so many amazing dramas and this easily proves it. Such a perfect pretense to Sundance, which always delivers some of the best films all year. Now I really can't wait to head out to snowy Park City next week.
There's a very emotional feeling I get watching this and realizing that I've seen every movie that a clip was borrowed from. It's less of how well it was cut and more the feeling I get from realizing how amazing movies truly are and that I've seen every one of the ones shown in the video. It's something I can't even describe in writing, it's such a surreal and heartwarming feeling that overwhelms my emotions. Thank you Matt Shapiro for creating one of the best videos I have ever watched in my entire life.

I think that Once was one of the best films this year. I really hope that it wins at least a couple awards.
