Check This Out: Wanted Superbowl TV Spot

When I first saw the trailer for Wanted back in October, it was set for release at the end of March. Since then, Universal has moved it to June 27th, a very prime pre-July 4th spot, meaning they're expecting this to open huge. Wanted's Superbowl TV spot that will air tomorrow during the game has been posted online early, which means you can check it out in all of its glory below. I'm not fully convinced that Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov can pull off a summer blockbuster, but maybe they're relying on Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman to sell this. Either way, you need to check this new trailer out.
A lot of people are calling Wanted a rip-off of The Matrix. I wouldn't go that far, but it does look like somewhat of a Matrix mesh with some other flashier summer action blockbusters. I think what will make this unique is Timur's visual style, which seems to stand out the most from the trailers so far. Have a look for yourself - what do you think?

Wanted is directed by Russian filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov, of Night Watch and Day Watch previously. The movie is based on a comic book series by Mark Millar and J.G. Jones published by Image Comics. Wanted hits theaters full force this summer on June 27th.

I think the Matrix comparisons are due to all the shots of slow motion bullets in the clip. Other than that looks like a standard action movie.

Looks good
but i wish it kept more faithfull to the Comic Book with its dark twisted adult humour.

Guess I'm the only one who thinks that Night Watch and Day Watch sucks big time. Style yes, but no substance…
This movie looks like all style no substance, but here it's okay
May not be good, but it'll be fun.

Wow maybe its just me, but I think this will seriously rock.
I loved Night Watch [best subtitles, ever!!!]

I've high hopes for this based on the visually stunning Night Watch. That was a little hard to follow though, being in Russian with French subtitles. My French still sucks. This one could be a tad easier to follow. Cast is good too, James McAvoy and Gordon Freeman with nekkid Jolie. Whats not to like ?
