Before you even start to question what or why or who this is, you just need to watch the trailer and enjoy. I literally just heard about this an hour ago, and in that short amount of time its gone from "what the hell is this?" to "you need to watch this!" The Foot Fist Way is a comedy that premiered at the LA Film Festival in 2006 that's just now making its way to theaters. As the trailer points out, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay both love the movie, apparently the entire Judd Apatow crew is obsessed with it, and Patton Oswalt has declared it a sui generis work on par with The Big Lebowski. Convinced enough to join the hype yet?
Paramount Vantage eventually picked up the film and now two years later is finally putting it out in limited theaters on April 11th. Hot Rod's Danny McBride stars as North America's finest tae kwon do instructor and self-anointed "King of the Demo" - Fred Simmons. Watching this trailer and this clip from Conan O'Brien (at the bottom) made me realize that this character is on par with Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat. Everyone on the inner track of Hollywood is raving about The Foot Fist Way, so don't miss it.
Watch the trailer for The Foot Fist Way:
After he attacks the man who slept with his wife, a tae kwon do instructor goes on a downward spiral that ultimately causes him to escape his feelings by going on a pilgrimage with his buddy and two of his students to see his hero, Chuck "The Truck" Wallace.

The Foot Fist Way is directed by first-time feature filmmaker Jody Hill and written by Hill, friend Ben Best, and Danny McBride. Paramount Vantage is releasing this in limited theaters starting on April 11th, just before the summer. Expect it to expand locally to your own theaters by May if it hits big.

Oh my goodness!
Hilarious!
I think Will ferrell should stick to endorsing and producing films, rather than starring in them.

This guy was on Conan the same night as Will and I had no idea the guy had a movie or anything. They were fighting sorta.

He was fucking hilarious on Conan. Probably one of the best moments on Late Night in a long long time. It was genius, and hell yeah, this trailer looks awesome.
