Must Watch: Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona Teaser Trailer
May 13, 2008

by Alex Billington
Woody Allen's latest film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, stars a trifecta of beauties: Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz, and Rebecca Hall. In it, we see Javier Bardem, once a cold-blooded killer, now an object of immense attraction, make out with every last actress we just mentioned, sometimes all at the same time! If I haven't caught your attention yet, then just know that Scarlett Johansson makes out with just about everyone. Vicky Cristina Barcelona definitely looks like a very steamy and sexy film, and possibly one of Woody Allen's best, at least in recent years. This teaser trailer should more accurately be called a sizzle reel, and you'll understand why once you've watched it, so without further delay, fire this baby up!
Watch the teaser trailer for Vicky Cristina Barcelona:
Vicky Cristina Barcelona is both written and directed by legendary filmmaker Woody Allen. This is Allen's 41st feature film, following Cassandra's Dream and Scoop previously. The film is premiering at the Cannes Film Festival this month and will be distributed by The Weinstein Company later this year. Vicky Cristina Barcelona currently arrives in theaters starting on August 29th.

I want to see it. The cast is great and I liked Match Point. Scoop. Ehh. Not great but not awful.

They should really just drop the artsy pretensions and call it "Javier Bardem Fucks a Lot of Women."

It didn't seem like a trailer at all really. I don't know what the story is or anything. Seems like something I shouldn't see with my dad though.

IMO that's a great trailer. That's what trailers should be like. It didn't spoil the story or any funny or important scene yet you kinda know what the feeling of the movie is like.

I guess this is HOllywood's way of making up to him for that Anti-Vagina Haircut he had, in No Cuntry.

The names Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem, and Woody Allen are more than enough to interest me in this film. But the trailer itself is a little weak. It doesn't give us any idea of the story or conflict at all. Maybe thats what Allen was going for. It is just a teaser I guess. Maybe hes hoping those faces will be enough to pique audiences interest.

You had me at "Scarlett Johansson makes out with just about everyone." You had me at "Scarlett Johansson makes out with just about everyone." (tears stream down my face)…
