Watchmen Video Journal: Flaming Man Stunt
June 7, 2008
by Alex Billington
It's that time of the month and that means we've got the latest Watchmen video journal to share with all of you. Today CHUD presents the third of 12 behind-the-scenes video journals chronicling the development of the film - this time it's a short featurette on the flaming man stunt. I think Zack Snyder introduces this journal the best. "It's the 6th again. We've spent the last few blogs examining the details of making Watchmen. So, this month I thought it might be fun to take a break from all that and just set someone on fire." I'm really getting energized by the buzz that's starting to build for this movie. Maybe we will see the epic and incredible Watchmen movie we've all been dreaming of seeing. Enjoy!
Watch the third Watchmen Video Journal - Flaming Man Stunt:
Each new video is release on the 6th of every month, so check back again on June 6th for the next Watchmen video journal in the series. Last month: Watchmen Video Journal: Costumes.
Watchmen is directed by Zack Snyder (of Dawn of the Dead and 300) and written by David Hayter (The Scorpion King, X-Men, X-Men 2) and Alex Tse. The movie arrives in theaters everywhere on March 6th, 2009. Stay tuned for even more Watchmen coverage, photos, and more exclusives right here at FS.net!

@#6: It's rare to be first. I get a chill if I read a topic before anyone else has commented. And the first comment usually sets the mood for following comments (I say that because I learned about that in politics class; the first presidential candidate who wins a primary looks like a winner and people feel confident to side with him).
On the subject of the clip; THAT IS AWESOME!!! I had no idea that they could actually set someone on fire with just gel as protection.

@Nettle - "It's rare to be first. I get a chill if I read a topic before anyone else has commented. And the first comment usually sets the mood for following comments…"
I don't dispute any of that. What I despise is the childish claim of "FIRST." Again I ask, who gives a Frak? Make your comment and leave it at that. Everyone will still see that you made the first post without you having to boast it. All typing in the word does is puff up the commenter's ego. And, if you pay attention you'll see that 99% of all posts that start off with a claim of "FIRST" have very little substance to them. Usually one or two short sentences that can be typed quick enough to ensure a first spot in the comments. What usually happens next is two or more posters start competing to be "FIRST" in every comments section. Rarely do they ever contribute anything insightful or set the mood for other comments.
