Rainn Wilson Holding Jenna Fischer Hostage for The Rocker

I guess this is a little viral publicity stunt for "Office" fans, but it's not doing a good job capturing my attention. I'm not a fan of "The Office" myself, although I'm one of the few who isn't, so I thought I'd mention this just in case there are some people who might get a kick out of it. Apparently Rainn Wilson is keeping Jenna Fischer as a hostage in the back of his car in the parking lot in an attempt to get people out to see The Rocker. He's turned so desperate that he won't let her out unless people go see his movie. His fun catch phrase is: "See a great movie. Save a good person." I don't think even anything this desperate will get anyone to actually go see The Rocker. Head to freejennanow.com or check out the video below.

Rainn is blogging the whole "hostage situation" over at: freejennanow.com. He's posted a little YouTube video that you can check out below. Beyond that, there isn't too much else to this viral.

Apparently this all began when Rainn "kidnapped" her MySpace blog and wrote a post about how awesome The Rocker is. I don't know about you guys, but every time I watch the trailer, I get less and less interested in seeing the movie. Here is where it all began: "My name is Rainn Wilson and I've kidnapped the lovely Jenna, put her, bound, in the trunk of my firebird and logged onto her MySpace to send out this bulletin." He's even got a video with Slash up on the blog! For Rainn Wilson (or maybe Jenna Fischer) fans, this is all pretty damn fun (well, maybe not for Jenna's fans). As I said, I just don't know if it'll actually cause The Rocker to sell any more tickets, but who knows? The film hit theaters next Wednesday, August 20th. See it and free Jenna!

And when I say car, I mean bed.

And when I say tied up, I mean tied down.

Plus I'll serve her bbq pringles - and not the trans fat regular flavor - pff! screw that!

This will in no way be a blockbuster, and this viral doesn't get me excited at all. But, i have heard a few positive early reviews on this film, so I'll save my judgement till I see it!

Yeah, this viral thing with Jenna does nothing for me.

As for the movie itself, saw The Rocker screening @ Comic-Con and Rainn Wilson was there to do a brief Q&A afterwards. The movie was pretty charming (not great, but good, enjoyable). Wilson is a cool down to earth guy too and does a decent job in his first leading role.

I think this is some good old fashioned FUN! That's pretty good that Jenna Fisher is putting her face and her name out there to promote Rainn Wilson's new movie.

I for one am I HUGE fan of "The Office" and to see these two actors behaving so cavalier with each other is quite refreshing.

i will probubly see the rocker, not because of this, but just because i like rainn.

this is so funny. im a huge fan of the office and i think its so cool that she would do this for him.
