Check This Out: Final Poster for Disney's Bolt
October 1, 2008

by Alex Billington
Our friends at Cinematical have debuted the final poster for Disney's upcoming Bolt. But that's not exactly the only reason I'm writing about this today. I wanted to take this moment to talk about a wonderful animated film that I may or may not have seen yet. And I may or may not be able to talk about how much I enjoyed it and how much it finally reaches to the levels of Pixar. But of course we'll address that again sometime in the future. Until then, take a look at this poster and watch the trailer if you haven't already. Bolt will be hitting theaters at Thanksgiving and it's definitely worth taking your whole family to.

For super-dog Bolt (voice of John Travolta), every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue—at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet—a cross-country journey through the real world. Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions: a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voice of Susie Essman) and a TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino, Bolt discovers he doesn't need superpowers to be a hero.
Bolt is directed by Chris Williams (story writer of Mulan and The Emperor's New Groove) and Byron Howard (supervising animator on Brother Bear and Chicken Little) with a story written by Chris Sanders (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Mulan, Lilo & Stitch). Disney's Bolt arrives in theaters everywhere this Thanksgiving, on November 26th.

Sounds like a cool movie, I actually want to see it! Mittens the cat looks kinda wierd from up-close. And is Bolt like a mini husky? My guess, he seems pretty short and husky like, and he reminds me ALOT of Balto! I'll mark my calender to see it, along with Madagascar 2!

Ugh. That poster has the "animals with attitude" look of a corporate-made console videogame.
