Marc Forster Remaking Korean Action Flick Die Bad

Hot on the heels of the upcoming Quantum of Solace, filmmaker Marc Forster has signed on for a new project. Forster will directed the English language remake of the Korean action movie Die Bad for Universal. The original film, set in South Korea, features a set of four interlocking stories, each with their own style, focusing a gangster and gang violence. It was directed by Korean martial-arts filmmaker Seung-wan Ryoo and won the audience award at the Pusan Film Festival. The remake will be penned by Brad Ingelsby, of The Honeyfields and the upcoming Low Dweller, and will be transplanted to US soil.
Anyone who has seen Forster's Quantum of Solace, which is only a handful of people here in the US and just about every citizen in the UK, knows that he's a very capable action director that can pull of some entertaining stunts. I had personally never heard of Die Bad until today, but it sounds like a film worthy of an English-language remake. It's already got an impressive creative team, with the likes of Ingelsby and Forster, so I expect it to turn out pretty awesome. While waiting for more details on the remake, including who they cast, I'm sure I'll be able to watch Die Bad - hopefully it lives up to all of the expectations I've now set while researching it.

I had a feeling that the second set of three comments wouldn't continue the trend that was started in the first set of three.
I never heard of this either. Sounds intriguing though. Just goes to show that there's some great filmmaking going on all over the globe. So why waste time watching crap?
