Clive Barker's Book of Blood Trailer - For True Fans Only!
November 6, 2008

The first stills we brought you for Clive Barker's upcoming Book of Blood adaptation pretty much screamed "for true horror fans only," if the title didn't already. Now we have the first trailer for the movie (thanks to Dread Central), and let me just say clearly now, this is really only for bloody-thirsty aficionados. I say that not just because the film borders on nightmare-inducing - you're pretty much guaranteed that anytime you have a crucifixion scene - but also because only a small audience will probably really enjoy it. I just hope this doesn't go the way of Barker's last effort, The Midnight Meat Train. I'm still trying to catch a screening of that since the release was so restricted. Check out the trailer if you dare!
Watch the trailer for Clive Barker's Book of Blood:
Book of Blood is directed and co-written by John Harrison, of Tales from the Darkside: The Movie and numerous TV shows previously. The screenplay was written by Harrison and first-timer Darin Silverman. The film is an adaptation of Clive Barker's short stories "On Jerusalem Street" and "The Book of Blood" as comprised within the all-encompassing six volumes of "The Books of Blood". As far as we know, Clive Barker's Book of Blood doesn't have a US release date or distributor just yet, so stay tuned!

No use seeing Midnight Meat Train, the movie looked good but the actual plot of the story was absurd.
It was like a slap in the face of the movie viewer once you found out the how and why.

"Midnight Meat Train" was a disapointment. Although, the slow-mo eye pop was great. The ending…sucked. Where did the creatures come from, why are they here and why are we feeding them? I love all of Clive Barkers stuff but when the studios decide to make a movie based on one of his short stories, it rarely works out.
Is anyone else worried about the "Hellraiser" remake? I am.

Might not have been so horrible a trailer if not for the B-movie techno trailer music.
Anyway, this one screams FAILLLLLL!!!

Correction JL–B-movie techno trailer REMIX of a Radiohead song! I am very pissed about the use of that.

Midnight Meat Train suck balls.
So, I was a little skeptical when first choosing to view this, but I'm actually interested.
I hope it's better than MMT.

Did they give away the ending? What I mean is that the woman at the end is holding the guy's skin right? It's not as though it wouldn't have happened anyway, but I would have loved to have seen it for myself for the first time on the screen not in the trailer.

haha.. 8 and 10.. ya beat me to that one… I LOVED THE TRAILER.. and I am NOT a horror fan in the least… have the SAWs … but love the ghost/supernatural shit… This movie… despite the choice of that track by Radiohead(love them, but wonder if a remake, didn't sound much like Thom)… I truly am excited to see it… they better release it in KC like they are for the Repo. on the 13th.
Watching that seen toward the end, where the skin was tugging as someone was writing into him… WOW… not a fan of lots of gore… but damn .. will forego to see this one.

I agree with #5….MMT was a good film til the end and then it goes no where. It explains nothing and leaves the viewer scratching his head on what just happened. Not in a good way.
dont see it.

adapt the short story "Dread" or "Pig Blood Blues"…..those are the stories they should mention in the book of blood.
