Atom Egoyan's Adoration Gets a Thrilling New Trailer

Sony Pictures Classics has debuted a rather thrilling trailer for Atom Egoyan's newest film, Adoration. In the film, a boy named Simon reinvents his life on the internet and tells a story that provokes strong reactions throughout the world. For someone who doesn't know much about this at all, it looks very interesting, to say the least. I'm curious to know more, despite its C rating from our critic Marco who saw it Cannes. "Adoration is a mixed bag that has good ideas about politics and technology but is way too convoluted to make any real impact." I definitely hope there's a lot more to this than what's in this trailer.

Oh I'm first to comment, cool….
Ah my impressions, it seems to have a bit of a pull there because of the boys interest in defending his father, if I caught that plot right. The scene in the end with the incoming truck, pretty cool to see. Ummm, I'm borderline on this movie, I'll have to wait for reviews.

Just because he was born in Cairo, doesn't make Egoyan Egyptian.
He is Canadian, with Armenian ancestry.

That said the trailer was quite good.
I remember Egoyan set up a little exhibit about the film on the lawn of the University of Toronto during the Nuit Blanche event.

This film was quite strong andpowerful. I really enjoyed it at the Calgary International Film Festival. Great performances, and yes, while the plot was a little convoluted, it was interesting. I was never bored and was glued to the screen. It grows with intensity as you learn the truth and discover things. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. A great trailer by the way, it really captures the essence of the film.

@2 i think being born in cairo technically makes you egyptian. Not by ancestory but because you were born in egypt. just like a chinese person born in new york is american.
