Vulture's Guide to the Facial Expressions of Keanu Reeves

In honor of the release of The Day the Earth Stood Still today starring Keanu Reeves, NY Magazine's Vulture blog has put together a Complete Field Guide to the Facial Expressions of Keanu Reeves. Yes, this is as amusing as it sounds, as they provide a total of 29 different examples of various iconic Keanu Reeves facial expressions from his 20 years of acting. Not only have they dug up some hilarious photos, but the guide features a little "Kean-u-meter", which "measures Keanu's facial elasticity from zero (The Matrix Revolutions) to ten (Bram Stoker's Dracula)." Keanu Reeves fans and haters alike both need to see this!

The Day the Earth Stood Still is directed by up-and-coming director Scott Derrickson, of only The Exorcism of Emily Rose previously, with a script written by David Scarpa, of only The Last Castle previously. The film is a remake of Robert Wise's 1951 science fiction classic of the same name. Fox is releasing The Day the Earth Stood Still in both IMAX and regular theaters on December 12th - this weekend!

I've always been amazed by the sheer amount of work Reeves has been able to get. He's a box office draw, for sure. But his range is pathetic. E for effort, Keanu. At least he *tries* to branch out by being in movies like Much Ado About Nothing. But he'll never live down Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures.

Everyone knows Keanu isn't the most amazing actor out there.
But he has screen presence, and he has a charm to him that most people can relate to. And it's hollywood, why pretend that Acting Talent is some sort of high requirement? Give me a break.

Everyone knows that he's an actor who's not an oscar kind of guy, but i think why keanu is successful is sheerly bcos he's hard working and genuine actor. And whatever he does we can always expect he'd give his 100 percent.

You're serious Alex, you didn't know Keanu was in Hardball? come on buddy!! i saw that in theaters (despite it didn't do very well) and I have to say Keanu was actually pretty good in a pretty good movie to boot.
Yeah Little Buddha I knew about. That's him under all that eyeliner all right…
