Worth Watching - Dec 13: Lance Daly's Kisses Trailer
December 13, 2008

Thanks to Quiet Earth, we've got the official trailer for Kisses, an Irish film from Lance Daly. Kisses is a whimsical Irish fairy tale of sorts about two very young kids who run away from their parents and spend a night exploring the streets of Dublin, Ireland together. It's a very film festival-like film that I first saw at the Telluride Film Festival but didn't love, although Peter from SlashFilm found it quite entertaining. Daly has a really unique style, but I just didn't feel like it was too enduring. Anyway, this trailer might interest a few of you and was definitely worth featuring because it's an indie that deserves some attention. Enjoy!

Kisses is both written and directed by Irish filmmaker Lance Daly, of Last Days in Dublin and The Halo Effect previously. The film first premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh and went on to play at the Locarno, Telluride, London, and Toronto Film Festivals this year as well. As far as we know, the film doesn't have a US distributor yet, but I expect it'll end up playing in theaters sometime in 2009.

These look like phenomenal young actors (in the trailer at least).

i'm sure i'll end up watching this sometime; but, (from the trailer anyway) it does seem to lack a quality that would set itself apart from other movies and make people WANT to watch it.

It'll hit my netflix list, I won't go out of my way for it though.

Looks pretty good. The two kids are acting nicely (as #1 said).
Will buy it on DVD or something. So sure it wont come in theaters in Finland

is it just me? I could only make out about 3 words in that entire trailer……I'm full blooded Irish but I'll need an interpreter for this…aside from that it looks pretty good…
