Must Watch: Danny Boyle and Darren Aronofsky One-on-One!
December 18, 2008
by Alex Billington
There is no questioning that Fox Searchlight picked up two of this year's best films - Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire and Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler. I'm excited to tell you that we have been exclusively provided with one part of a video series today featuring Danny Boyle chatting one-on-one with Darren Aronofsky about their directing styles. It's as if Fox Searchlight stole this idea from my dreams last night. This may literally be too much for some cinephiles to handle, seeing two of the best directors in the world talking so engagingly with one another. Indeed, if you are a fan of either Boyle or Aronofsky or otherwise want to watch one of the coolest videos you'll ever see, then definitely check this out!
Watch Danny Boyle and Darren Aronofsky talk about Directing Style:
I still really don't know how Fox Searchlight they pulled this off, but it's absolutely awesome seeing these two genius filmmaking talking with each other. Our good friend Peter over at SlashFilm has one of the other parts of this interview with Aronofsky interviewing Boyle about the tech of Slumdog Millionaire - watch that one. Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire is currently playing in theaters and will be expanding throughout December. Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler just arrived in limited theaters yesterday (December 17th) and will also expand throughout December and January. Go see both of their films, it's worth it!

I haven't even watched the video yet due to the fact that I feel this will be too much for me. These two are my favorite directors out there and I think they are just amazing at what they do. Time to watch the video.

I think Darren Aronofsky has yet to prove himself as a great filmmaker. Unique, yes. Great, hardly.

What are you crazy? Aronofsky has yet to prove himself? Honestly you are entitled to your opinion # 8, but Aronofsky has made phenomenal movies. They may not be the highest grossing movies, but that is due to people not being able to truly appreciate artistic value in movies. His movies are unique yes, but unique in the fact that they are great films. There is so much crap out there, that when genuine filmmakers such as these two come along, it is quite unfortunate that people( some people) cannot appreciate how truly gifted they are.

It's really cool they got them for this, but, will Darren Aronofsky let Danny Boyle talk? Seriously, you're both on the video, let the man talk.
