Check This Out: Mondo Tees' New RoboCop Poster
December 20, 2008
by Alex Billington
Still looking for a last minute Christmas present? Or just looking for something really cool to put up your wall to kick off the New Year? Mondo Tees operating out of the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX has debuted their special edition poster for RoboCop. The poster was design by artist Tyler Stout, who does a lot of work for them. This poster was made to promote their upcoming screenings of RoboCop at the Alamo Drafthouse, but if you're quick enough, you can pick yourself up a hand numbered print before they sell out. And if you are really loving this, there is a variant version that is actually printed on a sheet of metal!
Thanks to our friends at SlashFilm for alerting us about this. Check out the full design below.
I really love Tyler Stout's designs and actually bought one of the previous Blade Runner posters that he designed for them. I'm considering buying this one too just because I love the horizontal design and overall look of it. Not everyone may like Stout's somewhat overwhelming style, but others will probably love it. Each poster measures 24" x 36" and is printed in 5 color silkscreen, meaning it's very high quality. Pick up the regular version for only $30 or the variant version printed on actual sheet metal for $250. If you're a hardcore RoboCop fan, you won't hesitate to order one of these right away - it's definitely worth it!

The posters for The Alamo Drafthouse are amazing. I have the one for Iron Man designed by Jessie Philps and I love it!

Buying this right now…I missed out on the Blade Runner one, but I love Stout's work. Keep up the reminders if anymore pop up in the future.
@ 4…Tom, could you post a shot of the Iron Man poster? I'd love to check it out and if they're still available maybe purchase one.

I don't like this style, but that's a personal preference. The original one-sheet is a great poster.

I'm not sure if Mondo Tees still offers it or not? I know it was a limited run. It has glow in the dark ink!
