Must Watch: DreamWorks' Second Full Monsters vs Aliens Trailer
December 23, 2008

by Alex Billington
DreamWorks has debut the second full-length trailer for their upcoming March animated comedy Monsters vs Aliens featuring the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Will Arnett, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Colbert, and many others. This second trailer reveals quite a bit more than the first teaser, including glimpses at some of the large scale fight scenes and where the story is headed. Although I usually don't like DreamWorks Animation's films, I'll continue to say that Monsters vs Aliens looks like a giant leap forward, just as Kung Fu Panda was earlier this summer. They might have finally figured out how to make some good movies, although they're still not Pixar level. Anyway, enjoy this new trailer!

Monsters vs Aliens is directed by DreamWorks filmmakers Rob Letterman (of Shark Tale previously) and Conrad Vernon (of Shrek 2 previously). Oddly, DreamWorks never revealed who the writers were, which makes me a bit worried that this was a studio-wide collaboration. Paramount will debut Monsters vs Aliens in both IMAX 3D and regular theaters on March 27th, 2009 next year. See everyone in theaters!

16, if theres something funnier than someone who thinks he knows what hes talking about, its someone who yells at others, and thinks he is correct to do so.

WOW! That trailer looks more than solid. It's outstanding! That's going to be huge at the box office. Whenever you get great animation plus a mix of cute, lovable charcters with loads of funny material to say, then you have a movie with a ton of appeal for both parents and the kids. Ka- Ching!!!

No way 31!!!! This looks like its going to deliver. We've never heard a story like this before. This is a truly ORIGINAL IDEA. For once no remakes here or sequels here. This is totally fresh and I like what I see.
I love that line near the end with the blob saying: "Sorry, I was just looking at this bird over there…" - funny as hell when they use in the scene.

Yeah 32, it doesn't sound anything like a team of mismatched superheroes fighting off an evil genius and his giant robots like in The Incredibles or a multitude of other movies, and the whole idea of funny monsters has never been used in any other movie like Monsters, Inc. or Shrek.
Seriously, though, it looks pretty entertaining.

I find this movie wierd and awkward from all I've seen and I dought I'll go see it in theaters. Though from what I've heard it might actually do good, in that case I'll grab my popcorn and 3-D glasses and head on over to my local theater!
