Clint Eastwood and Steven Spielberg Team Up for Hereafter

Steven Spielberg's newly independent DreamWorks is in talks with Clint Eastwood to direct a supernatural thriller titled Hereafter. Unfortunately no actual details about the story have been revealed yet, except that it has been described as "in the vein of The Sixth Sense." As we all know, Eastwood directed two complete films this year alone - Changeling and Gran Torino - but he's not retiring from directing just yet. DreamWorks adamantly held onto this project during their split with Paramount and has been trying to get Eastwood to sign on for months. Sounds like something potentially very interesting?
As far as I can remember, Eastwood has never directed anything like a supernatural thriller before, making this a first for him, even at 78 years old. Spielberg last produced both Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima, and although there were some pacing problems with each, both films at least looked great in the end. I really wish we knew more about this project, because I'm very curious to see what Eastwood will do with something like a supernatural thriller. I just hope that Sixth Sense reference isn't literal - I don't think we need to see another ghost story like that, even if it is directed by Eastwood.

Eastwood a fine job with In the Garden of Good and Evil. Although it was not a supernatural storyline he certainly made it dark and moody. I think he will do a fine job.

Go Dirty Harry, go! i just love his 'never say die' attitude. I am sure he can pull it off, cos he's one hell of a story teller he'll be able to make a believer out of HITLER if he wants to.
