David Spade's There Will Be Oscars

Typically I hate David Spade with quite a fiery passion, but this time he's made me genuinely laugh (a rare feat for Mr. Spade). Compliments of Will Ferrell's FunnyorDie.com, Spade impersonates Daniel Day-Lewis as Daniel Plainview from There Will Be Blood and talks of the gold that runs in his blood. No, not that gold, we're talking Oscar gold! The murmurs from Hollywood are beginning surrounding whether the Oscars will go on, considering the writers strike may shut down the show like it did for the Golden Globes, and here Spade speaks for Day-Lewis. This is even funnier if you've seen There Will Be Blood, so enjoy if you can.
At least it's got Jonny Greenwood's actual score in the background. Considering how phenomenal that score is, if you end up hating Spade's impersonation, at least you had something good to listen to! Really, the point here is that Spade actually does his best trying to portray Day-Lewis as Plainview, and I applaud him for at least achieving that. Special thanks to JoBlo for introducing me to this great video.
As for the actual Oscars, they will go on, no matter the outcome of the writers strike or not. The show's producers have made mention of the fact that it will happen, even if the writers strike isn't resolved by then. I expect that it will be, given the current rumors that a resolution is very near, so either way we'll be seeing Daniel Day-Lewis win his Oscar for Best Actor. His speech at the SAG awards was incredible, and I expect an even more amazing speech at the Oscars.
