First Short Babylon A.D. Teaser Trailer

Yesterday we debuted the newest international poster for Babylon A.D., now today we debut the international teaser trailer. There really isn't much to this - it's quite short and doesn't show too much, but at least it's our first finished look at what we can eventually expect to see in Babylon A.D. I'm a big sci-fi nut and this movie has always reminded me of Vin Diesel's sci-fi roots in Pitch Black - one of my all-time faves. I'm really hoping Babylon A.D. will make it on my top ten of the year just because I've been following the buzz on it for over a year now. Check out the very short teaser trailer below - we can except a full one sometime this summer.

Babylon A.D. is directed by French filmmaker Mathieu Kassovitz, who also directed 2003's Gothika and a French film from 2000 titled The Crimson Rivers as well as a few other French flicks. Babylon A.D. is currently set to arrive in theaters on August 29th from Fox. The latest poster is featured below.

I too am quite excited about Babylon A.D. It sounds like for the same reasons. I would love to see Vin do a lot more Sci-Fi.

I'm basing this on a 0.5s clip I think I saw in there, but it drives me nuts when people insert skate/bmx/motorcycle/atv/snowmobile/ski/snowboard/etc tricks into a an action scene (I believe there was a snowmobile backflip). It's like someone doing the moon-walk in a fist fight. It looks dumb and it dates the movie horribly.

Trailer kinda sucks... I know it is only a teaser, but it does nothing for me... What is the movie about??? Looks like Vin Diesel taking a stroll, and that is not worth my money...

Can you say "Blade Runner"? Luckily, not only can I say it, but I can quit looking at this Vin Diesel starring piece of crap and actually watch Blade Runner. Which I will now do. Adieu.

The poster looks Blade Runner, but the beginning of the trailer gave me a heavy Children of Men vibe...I don't know about this one yet.

@ #4: Didn't he have a snowboarding stunt in XXX? What's next for him, wakeboarding down the Nile River while being shot at by terrorists and dodging crocs? A bit over the top but I'm sure it'll make people ooh and ahh.

Isn't this the movie they were trying to release as a 2-1/2 hour epic? Yeah, not a great idea. Even as big a sci-fi fan as I am I don't think I could take 2-1/2 hours of this.

It looks like cheap sets and things that look ooooh "Sci-Fi". Why do some future visions have every other scene loaded with conduit and rigid pipe? Ooh ooh and some scrap fabric blowing in the wind. Oh and wet yeah Rain! Rain looks "Sci-Fi" wait-how much money is left in our budget? Hope I'm wrong.
