Happy Halloween from Everyone at FS.net!

I know that Joker pumpkin has been seen everywhere by now, but it's badass and I wanted to use it again. With that being said, Happy Halloween to everyone on this glorious October 31st! Halloween is one of those holidays that actually plays an important part in film, so I thought I'd honor the holiday today by mentioning of few of my own favorite horror flicks. Whether you're out trick-or-treating for free candy, getting wasted at a costume party, or simply kicking back and enjoying a few of your own favorite horror films, from all of us here at FirstShowing.net, we hope you have one hell of a creepy Halloween evening!
As promised, I thought I'd throw out a few of my favorite horror movies. I'm not the biggest horror guy out there, so these are just personal favorites. Maybe they'll inspire you to pop in a horror classic of your own? One of my absolute favorites is Army of Darkness and I've got to mention The Frighteners as well. As for zombies, I love 28 Weeks Later, Fido, and Robert Rodriguez' Planet Terror, with a special nod to Dance of the Dead, which just came out on DVD. I've also got a special place in my heart for Tremors and Child's Play 3 specifically. And lastly, just to mention it (even though it's not horror) - Sphere!

I just watched The Strangers last night, liked it! Little slow but found it very creepy. Prefer those type of "horror" movies over blood and guts everywhere. And tonight... going to watch Rob Zombie's Halloween. Haven't seen it yet but have heard good things. Can't wait, cold beer, big @ss splif and scare the crap outta myself.

Joke'o'lantern is pretty cool. Did you see The Office yesterday? Creed, Dwight, and Kevin all wore the joker costume. Creed was very creepy. Most of your favorites I haven't seen, Alex, but I have to say I prefer Danny Boyle's 28 days later to 28 weeks later. Planet Terror was a hoot, though. Very funny. If you liked that, I suggest you watch Slither. It has the same type of bizarre horror gore with comedic tones.

Saw Midnight Meat Train already on Fearnet. It's enjoyable, especially this time of year. Night of the Living Dead cannot be forgotten along with the original Halloween and American Werewolf in London. And though it's not a movie, Tru blood is a GREAT Vampire show. Totally worth watching if you have HBO.

Darabont's "The Mist" is a really good one to check out too... And I just saw Midnight Meat Train and I really liked it for the expectations I had going in...why the hell did that movie get so screwed in the box office and its marketing? Much better than the latest Saw...

I'm just going to keep plugging Audition. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. Especially if you like Takashi Miike. Also, Fido was BA.

I usually kick off with The Simpsons Halloween Special I or II, then maybe Dawn of the Dead (2004), then get trashed at a costume party!
