Must Watch? Anna Faris in House Bunny
If I'm not sneaking away to covertly watch some Fast and Furious car porn, then I might be doing so to peak some of Anna Faris' movies. Ever since seeing her in Scary Movie back in 2000, her wide-eyed, dumb blonde routine has been a secret indulgence of mine. She was a lovely addition to Waiting, but utterly hysterical as the Britney-esque pop star in Just Friends. Thankfully, her next project is the same ridiculous bubblegum slapstick I've grown to love, as she plays an ousted Playboy bunny that finds a new home amongst socially awkward sorority girls. House Bunny seems a well-blended version of Clueless and Legally Blonde. Check out the first trailer!
Joining Faris is actually a pretty interesting cast. Actress-wannabe Rumor Willis accompanies baritone Emma Stone (Superbad) and deadpan Kat Dennings (40 Year-Old Virgin). More notable, however, is Tom Hanks' son, Colin Hanks, who plays Faris' love interest. How'd that happen?
The film is certainly not going to explore new territory or leave you questioning the deeper topics of life. But it should serve as a pretty good laugh, plain and simple. How can you not chuckle at the manhole scene?
