In addition to The Dark Knight, I'm also incredibly excited for Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Considering I finally get to see the film tonight, I'm probably more excited for it than I'll ever be. On that note, out of all the trailers we've posted, including the new one yesterday and the awesome one from April, none of them have really reminded me of how great Ron Perlman is as Hellboy under Guillermo del Toro's direction. This clip, which I am breaking our rules to share with you, not only shows the first appearance of the mystic Johann Kraus, but it does finally demonstrate how fantastic this movie will be. Back in April, Guillermo officially announced that Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane would be voicing Johann Kraus and this is the first time we can hear it. This clip alone has made me so much more excited to see it.

Johann Kraus is a protoplasmic mystic and psychic that was unable to return to this body following a seance, so the B.P.R.D. built him a containment suit. Without the suit his spirit would dissipate and he would no longer exist. He has the ability to speak with dead spirits and give them a temporary physical form. Kraus makes an appearance in Hellboy II: The Golden Army and joins the fight with the good guys.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army is both written and directed by visionary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro of Blade II, Hellboy, and Pan's Labyrinth previously. The film is based off of Mike Mignola's comic book series that was first published by Dark Horse Comics in 1993. Hellboy II arrives in theaters this summer on July 11th. Mark down that day in your calendars now!

Nice clip and nice interview ... Guillermo del Toro does not confirm Hellboy 3 because he will be working on Doctor Strange 2010 , The Hobbit (2011) and The Hobbit 2 (2012) ... I feel it is better he work on Heboy 3 than making Hobbits with Peter Jackson ... Peter can make it alone .

Looks terrific. I love how they deliver the dialogue so casually; that was also done in Iron Man really well.
