Must Watch: Brand New Full Length Trailer for Knowing!

Summit Entertainment has unveiled a brand new trailer for Alex Proyas' Knowing starring Nic Cage. I'm not going to lie - this trailer gave me the chills. We've already seen a teaser trailer for this, but this new one extends the story a bit further, introducing the "whisperer people" who are, as far as I can tell, creepy guys who stand off in the distance. Proyas is a great director and I think he's finally taken a good script and turned into a great movie with a very global scale. With any other regular director, I'm sure this wouldn't look as good as it does, but with Proyas, I think we're going to get something truly unique, or so I hope. The visual effects need some polishing in certain scenes, but overall this looks fantastic. Thoughts?

Knowing is directed by Alex Proyas of The Crow, Dark City, Garage Days, and I, Robot previously. The script was written by a collaboration of screenwriters including Ryne Douglas Pearson ("Simple Simon"), Juliet Snowden (The Need, Boogeyman), Stiles White (The Need, Boogeyman), and Stuart Hazeldine (upcoming Paradise Lost). Summit is releasing Knowing in theaters on March 20th, 2009.

Reminded me of a nightmare I once had where I was fighting an unknown force and then Nic Cage tried to save me with his acting skills. It was at that moment I knew I was dead. Luckily I woke up to the sound of a puppy being stabbed to death slowly. Thank God for sociopaths.

I want to see this. Even if Nic Cage is in it. It just looks really exciting. Not sure about these so called whisper people, though. It may end up cheesy and dumb with that kind of spooky element.

Why does everybody hate Cage I've really never heard a valid reason, its like one person started to hate him and then everybody jumped on the wagon, and now no one can figure out why theyreally hate him. He really isn't a shitty actor, he just chooses shitty roles. That warning noise, is probably one of the most frightening sounds ever! Bring on the nasty comments!!!!!!!!!!

As far as Cage goes, those who think he is a bad actor need to watch Lord of War, Adaptation and Matchstick Men. This movie looks, suprisingly.

This looks like garbage... I don't think I've seen Nicolas Cage in anything I've enjoyed since Lord Of War. Proyas is hit or miss... Dark City was decent, but that's about it.

Nic Cage has done a lot of awesome movies. He's one of my favorite actors. Gone in 60 Seconds, The Rock, Face Off. All classics. He's just been in some shit movies lately. But the National Treasures weren't terrible. Oh and this movie looks kick ass. I was so creeped out, and rocked at the same time. I didn't realize the whole warning thing would lead to something so serious. The first trailer showed nothing compared to this one. Can't wait.

Cage is a good actor. He choice of movies is poor. Maybe he needs a new agency. Besides the obvious ones (face off) I loved Lord of war, Weatherman and others. This doesn't look too bad. Gonna see it for sure.

LeeMan, i dont see you in any movies. I'm sure alot of hard work is put into a movie, just try to appreciate it for what it is worth. No one is perfect not even you nor I. I think Nicolas Cage started out his career really good, but now he's just to much of a star. Some people let that lure them away from the real craft. Some people, on the other hand, continue to get better and build their craft, like Daniel Day Lewis. Can anyone tell me if he's ever done a bad job? More on point, this movie looks cool and I am glad Rose Byrne is in this. She's underrated and she'll surely class this up.

Alex Proyas hasn't had a real hit since "Dark City" (a cinematic gem). It looks like this movie has potential. Great timing for this movie too with all the talk about "2012 and the End-Of-Days". Nick Cage is a fine actor. Sure, he's made some poor choices but what actor hasn't. Watch "Bringing Out The Dead" or "8mm"and you'll see great performances from him. I don't think he's "Ghost Rider" material and when he was up for "Superman" well, that just isn't a good vehicle for him. He's a dramatic actor.

Also, a director with previous movies such as The Crow and Dark city is surely a good thing? Personally, although i think this trailor is kinda awsome, i can't help but be over the whole prediction with numbers element.

I have to agree with others, any other leading role would make this more exciting to me however I would hate for this to be just another role that Cage drags down. I loved his older films and will cross my fingers and all other good luck conjuring in the hopes that perhaps he will shine here, however his track record lately makes me cringe.

im still on the fence with nic cage. He came out in some of my favorite movies, but i only watch those movies for the supporting casts. My son is excited for ghost rider 2 though!

bah! nick cage lost his skills when ghost rider came out... maybe even slightly before. and saying hes a good actor because of Adaptation is foolish he is just the typical narrating dark comedy Nicolas Cage pretty much the same character from the weather man just fatter and uglier. and although we all loved Face Off, Con Air, The Weatherman, Gone in 60 seconds and his other decent flix the time has come to get this guy out of Hollywood so we can avoid... at all costs another Bang Cock Dangerous.

Adaptation Matchstick men The Rock Con Air Lord of War 8mm Snake eyes Wild at Heart come on we are talking about an actor who has showed great performance in all those and more movies ok he has some ambitious choices that he wants to do such as playing Superman or playing one of his favorite comic characters Ghost rider on the big screen. (he has one issue of action comics 1 he is superman in my book ) its just his dream to be those guys ok he may not be able to pull a Great Superman after late Christopher "The Kyrptonian" Reeves but who can, or he was reall dull in ghostrider, but he is a great actor and in the right role he really can perform so he is just trying new stuff stuff that he likes to perform not the ones that we like him to see perform its his choice (btw he is my nieces cousins aunts big brothers uncles grandma's great great son NOT ! ) and about the movie i liked the "Next" it promised a new window and did good in my opinion and the scenes that i have seen in Knowing also promises its gonna be a good film too. the director is a cult classic film director i have faith in him that he will pull this one too PS: i really didnt want and certainly not the one to protect mr cage but we are being too harsh sometimes when it comes down to critics so i am sorry for those that i have bored with my comments cheers

What I think is funny is that NONE of you have any idea what you are talking about. I have SEEN this film. Not only is Nicholas Cage the right person for this movie, you are ALL WAY OFF on what it is about. This movie will force you to think about life and what you take for granted because this movie could very well be reality. I do not see many movies. This one was so dramatic, it will stay with me for a long time. If you believe in something more, whether God, aliens or anything to do with the cycle of life, this movie will hit you very hard. And those sequences, for someone that has witnessed some things, I have never before seen so true creations in a movie... enough to cause even me to .. react. If you knew me... you would understand....
