Second Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Teaser Trailer

20th Century Fox has recently released the second teaser trailer for Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs featuring the lovable squirrel Scrat. I was a big fan of the first Ice Age but lost all respect for the franchise after they made a utterly atrocious sequel. Apparently it was successful enough to warrant yet another sequel, this time involving dinosaurs. But we don't get to see any of that yet because their strongest selling point still is Scrat. So if you've been waiting for Scrat to amuse you yet again with his never ending attempts to get that elusive acorn, then here you go. Otherwise, you might as well skip this one.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is directed by Carlos Saldanha, who co-directed Ice Age and directed both Robots and Ice Age: The Meltdown previously. This film is a Blue Sky Studios production, the animation house responsible for Ice Age, Robots, and Horton Hears a Who. Fox will premiere Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs in theaters everywhere on July 1st, 2009. Will you be seeing this in theaters?

Scrat is always great. If only the movies lived up to the hilarity of the trailers.

You know, Scrat is sort of a throwback to Wile E. Coyote and Tom and Jerry. He needs food, but it always seems to outwit him. He's a bit more pitiful though. Just a thought.

Blue Sky seems like the most underrated animation house, just in the fact that you never hear their films compared to DreamWorks or Pixar. this trailer has some of the clearest and most lifelike computer animation ive seen. and the slap stick classic cartoonyness works too.

to #16 i think you are right. the dinosaurs came before the ice age. haha man this directors are stupid, but it will be fun to watch though
