The Fallen Will Show Up in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?!

Ever since the official title for Michael Bay's sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, was announced in June, fans have been speculating that this could mean we might see the appearance of an enormous robot called The Fallen. I quickly shrugged off that rumor with the belief that they wouldn't put the name of a robot in the title, but alas, I might've been wrong. MTV picked up a rather interesting scoop at Comic-Con in their talks with IDW Publishing - and it sounds like The Fallen is indeed the main villain. So not only does it sound like we're in for one hell of an exciting sequel, but we've heard rumblings that we'll get our first taste with a trailer in front of Eagle Eye this September. Who's excited now?!

IDW Publishing is the publisher that's putting out a comic miniseries titled "Transformers: Destiny" that will "bridge the gap" between Transformers last year and Revenge of the Fallen next year. MTV spoke with writer Chris Mowry, who told them that they're going to "explore the background of The Fallen — the main villain of the movie — as well as expand on the 'Reign of Starscream' story that we’re doing and tie everything in to what this next movie is going to be." Mowry is one of the few that actually has a copy of the script, but the most he'll say is that "the next movie starts out with just tons of action and there's obviously going to be a lot of questions, so we're hoping to answer some of those beforehand."

If you're not familiar with The Fallen, he's one of the 13 original Transformers that Primus created at the dawn of time. Unfortunately he turned against his siblings, his creator, and his universe and betrayed them all. This guy is one nasty robot - and he's even on fire! How would this tie in to a story in Revenge of the Fallen? Well, if you remember from this article, Josh Duhamel mentions that "the biggest change in the sequel is who [Lennox is] working with." So in theory, the Autobots and Decepticons could join together to fight an even greater evil - The Fallen. As cool as all of this sounds, Bay has often said that he's launched "misinformation" campaigns and I feel like this could be one of them. As in, the IDW guys are just fueling the fire for the fun of it and saying The Fallen just because it's been rumored.

I'd love to believe this, because with The Fallen, the Constructicons, and everyone else from the first movie, we could be in for yet another jaw-dropping sequel. Although Paramount didn't allow Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to show its head at Comic-Con, I'm still calling it one of my most highly anticipated movies of next summer below Terminator Salvation. Will The Fallen truly make an appearance?

I doubt it. I am a huuuge transformers fan and i am disappointed with myself because i don't remember The Fallen lol. I hate the fact that Bay and crew and deliberately giving out mis information. But who knows, the sequel to transformers will be exciting and fun nonetheless.

Fallen will be the villian with the Constictcons and the Decepiticons should return with Dinobots in #3 to tie the entire series together. Hopefully.

I just tried going on youtube to find the cybertron episode titlted ''Fallen'' but i am still confused as to who he is or is suppose to be. Does anyone know exactly where one needs to go to see the episode with him in it?

no offense Alex, but you would really consider Transformers below Terminator? Don't hate me, your'e probably a huge fan and that's cool. I still love robots and I'll watch them both either way.

I have to agree with vu, the trailer for Terminator didn't impress me much and the all the photos and news for Transformers has me anticipating its release

that "Fallen" wiki info looks like complete BS. Just look at the captions of all the pics. And he speaks Spanish? Really? And I don't know how seibertron.com could confirm something that no one's really supposed to know anyway.

I'm with #8 and 11...I'm not that interested in Terminator next year. Maybe I haven't seen enough of the hype or whatever, but Transformers I AM excited about. The only thing that could get me more excited is a surprise Iron Man sequel or another Batman.

In the first transformers, no one really knew how the cube got to earth or why it was blasted to space. The Fallen could be the answer to alot of questions. The mini series comic book thing they're doing in to tell what happens in between seems a little suspect.

I'm not buying it. I think revenge of the fallen is Megatron coming back as Galvatron. I also don't see how they can bring in the Constructicons considering they used Devastator's name on the tank in the 1st one. Number 3, the Dinobots were autobots, not decepticons. They already said no Grimlock anyways.

They already made Devastator, Frenzy, and Bonecrusher, so I don't think they could make the Constructicons unless they were four non-combining robots. Also, Frenzy's radio form is similar to Soundwave's alt form, so I don't think we can expect Soundwave to have his original form. The Dinobots don't need any explanation. The Dinobots need no disguises. The Dinobots ARE DINOBOTS. They should bring Galvatron, because for every dead Megatron in every series, they made an insane Galvatron. I think the Fallen is some comic character, but I don't think he appeared in the show. This might be interesting.

Sweeeeeeet! Maybe they'll tie in Unicron for the third Transformers movie (or...dare I say it? RotF? *gasp*). I think at that point I'll need medical assistance after watching that trailer.

what i originally thought. was that the second movie would focus more along starscreams reign over the decepticons and as a cliffhanger in the end, say after the credits, it would a be shot roaming over the ocean where megs was dropped and they would zoom in to the top of the ocean and you would see 2 red eyes begin to glow thus confirming the return of megs. but i like the fallen concept. not alot of modern day fans know who the fallen is and i think they should.

The original Fallen was optimus Prime! Revenge of the fallen was in a comic book! Optimus prime came back! and attacked the autobots!!!!!!!!!! i dont think this movie is gonna have anything to do with that!

I think revenge of the fallen is Megatron coming back. At this point I really don't care. Just release the movie!

In my opinion bay is working his way to produce the original movie in new form. In the original movie there was: Unicron Optimus prime Megatron / Galvatron Starscream Devastator Hotshot Sounwave Laserbeak In the film sofar we have Optimus pirme Bumblee bee Jazz (If resurected) Ratchet Ironhide Brawl (Called devastator) Megatron (Will return in 2009 as Galvatron) Starscream (Will return in sequel) The fallen (Confirmed for 2009) Jolt (2009) Soundwave (2009) Ravage (2009) And many others This seems like in the final film he will introduce Unicron however i believe setting the story in egypt with the plot over transformers coming to earth and building the pyramids is rediculous! I hope they get the third film right and have 20 robots on each side and a ton of others who we dont know!
