To be honest, I didn't actually get this comic when I first saw it... But I just saw The Happening tonight and you're DEAD on! It only DID have two swears and Zooey's (wonderful) cleavage! Shame on you Shyamalan!

Was the R-rating just a gimmick? The violence could easily have been toned down into PG-13 territory. A shorter shot here, a a quick cut there, subtract a1/2 gallon of blood,
