Two New Babylon A.D. TV Spots

The only real reason I'm featuring these is because we've finally got a few weeks left until Babylon A.D. hits theaters and I want to remind everyone about it. This looks fantastic and I can't wait to see it myself. If you haven't already seen it, go watch the full trailer in connection with these two TV spots. Babylon A.D. is a futuristic sci-fi movie about a a hired mercenary who must escort a woman around the world. From there, I'll let you discover why she's so important on your own. Whenever I see trailers for this, I feel like we've got the next big underrated sci-fi gem on our hands - and I hope I'm right. Anyone else agree?

Babylon A.D. is directed by French filmmaker Mathieu Kassovitz, who also directed 2003's Gothika and a French film from 2000 titled The Crimson Rivers as well as a few other French flicks. Babylon A.D. is currently set to arrive in theaters on August 29th from Fox. See you in theaters!

Im really looking forward to this film, but i hope Fox didn't screw it up to badly by cutting it down.

2

I agree. Fox has a bad history of cutting the good stuff.

Looks really nice and Of course I will be waiting for it too ... long time now see Vin Diesel in action ... The last scene with the woman and the explosion remind me by Resident Evil: Extinction !!!

If you still haven't seen Mathieu Kassovitz' "La Haine" you don't like movies that much. "La Haine" is a f-king masterpiece.

By the way : I like the work that Mathieu Kassovitz does in both : Crimson Rivers 2000 and Hate- La Haine 1995 ... for Gothika I think it was fine but not as great as the previews two..maybe because the french understanding between the director and the actors .. who knows ? However I believe this one will be good ...

Vin Diesel delivers lines like a dog delivers the mail....sloppy and limp. It is just really hard for me to watch one of his movies his acting, well, just sucks.

A few other french flicks? Like the amazing and groundbreaking LA HAINE (HATE) a film that Matthieu has yet to top.

Underrated Sci-fi gem, there's a laugh. Looks like typical Vin Diesel trash with a slightly bigger budget.

I got to see about 5 minutes of clips in a marketing survey and there is a WHOLE bunch of stuff they are leaving out of the preview that should have stayed in. **SPOILERS** The girl is genetically engineered to be the new messiah and to lead a new religion to rule the world. Vin Diesel has to deliver her, then is killed. Girl's father bring VD back to life and asks him to go save her from being a religious figurehead. Much action ensues. You can see why they are leaving out the religious overtones in the preview and I think that is wrong. If you are going to base your story in religion, then make sure people know about it up front.
