Sony Pictures Classics has unveiled the trailer for Jonathan Demme's Rachel Getting Married trailer. This through and through feels like a movie we should be watching during Sundance and not in the middle of a hot summer. What is Sony doing?! As heartfelt as this looks in the end, I'm seriously worried that it's going to be this year's Margot at the Wedding. Just because Anne Hathaway is in it and just because Jonathan Demme directed it doesn't mean it will be any good unfortunately. You may like what you see, and I'm not saying it is instantly bad, but this really is not the right time or place to be showing this movie. Alas, it is premiering at the Toronto Film Festival, so we at least have that to look forward to.

The script was written by newcomer Jenny Lumet. Sony Pictures Classics is debuting Rachel Getting Married at the Toronto Film Festival this September and will set a release date for later in the year after its premiere.
