He's Back - Official Crank 2: High Voltage Trailer Debut!
January 15, 2009
Source: IGN
by Alex Billington
Although we loved the first trailer for Crank 2: High Voltage that we ran last week, we were asked to remove it because of its extreme profanity, among other things. However, IGN has debuted the actual trailer for Crank 2: High Voltage today, without all the profanity, but with all the over-the-top action and crazy Jason Statham antics you could ask for. I still feel the same as I did last week - this looks frickin' awesome, in every way, and I can't wait for it to hit theaters. Not only do I love the style, but this just looks so insane, like nothing else out there, and for that (and more Amy Smart) it deserves to be hyped. Watch this!
Watch the first trailer for Crank 2: High Voltage:
In this high-octane sequel, hitman Chev Chelios launches himself on an electrifying chase through Los Angeles in pursuit of the Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart.
Crank 2: High Voltage is both written and directed by visionary filmmakers Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the two crazy guys behind Crank and the upcoming Game. The film was produced by Lakeshore Entertainment and is being distributed by Lionsgate. Mark and Brian shot this entirely handheld with consumer and prosumer digital video cameras, which should make for quite an interesting experience. Crank 2: High Voltage arrives in theaters everywhere on April 17th. Get ready for a shock!

OH wow this trailer does look awesome! I am a big fan of Jason, although I feel he is just a typical action guy, I tilt my hat to him for maing it work for him and not selling out. Hope one day that I will aspire to be as famous as him..who knows. It is possible

What's with the first shot they released of him with the giant rubber-like head? I don't see any reference to what that was all about in the trailer.

That's not a dream sequence, you see him out in the desert grabbing those powerline cylinder things with both hands near the end of the trailer. In the photos they were fighting amongst powerlines in a similar location(albiet, a scale miniature)

If Uwe Boll were directing this, you'd be shitting all over it.
Remember when Lionsgate used to produce award winners like Affliction, Monster's Ball and Hotel Rwanda?

#16 if Uwe Boll were directing, we wouldn't have to shit all over it… He'd have taken care of that already…
Looking forward to this movie.
