Bill Hader and Judd Apatow Doing a Slasher Movie?!

Wow, there are some crazy rumors floating around these days. In addition to that Seth Rogen bit, another interesting one has popped over on CHUD involving none other than Bill Hader and Judd Apatow. Hader reveals a slasher movie concept: "It's partially Straw Dogs meets Halloween meets Home Alone meets Monster Squad." So how did all of this come together in the first place? "Judd met with us and said, 'I want to do a horror movie with you. I want to see you in a slasher movie.'" And there you have it. Will it ever get made? Who knows, but it's something I know I'd definitely love to see, even if it takes a few years.
Hader wouldn't say much more about the actual story, but did give them this juicy little tidbit: "It is definitely about guys nowadays, that idea that you watch fucked up shit on TV… You watch fucked up reality shows, I love true crime shows. The idea of that thing coming to your house, and what do you do? I would shit my pants. That's basically what the movie is about. What if that guy decided to come to your house? What would you and your dipshit friends do about it?" Sounds both creepy and hilarious, considering that's the exact kind of movie they're hoping to make. Is this something you'd like to see?

"I kicked the wolfman in the nuts!" Monster Squad ruled.
Bill Hader's a funny dude, I'd watch it.

Considering this "rumor" is back-to-back with the Rogen-as-clone-of-Jesus story, I'm starting to think maybe people are a little bored over at Apatow Productions and they're having fun with us.

"Wolfman's got nards."
"My name is Horace." (pumps shotgun)
Such a strange combination, mentioning Home Alone and The Monster Squad with Halloween and Straw Dogs. I love it.

Hader has been top-notch funny in everything I've seen him in. Like in FSM:
Brian (Hader): Look. Liz and I, we think the world of Sarah. We think she's great. But, and I'm just being honest here, every time she would come over to our house, she always acted, you know, like a… like a little bitch. Okay, okay, okay, pump the brakes.
Peter Bretter: Dating Sarah is not like dating Liz, okay? Sarah is better than Liz!
Brian: You really want to have this conversation? Do you really want to have this conversation?
Peter Bretter: Yes.
Brian: She is the mother of my unborn child!
Peter Bretter: Sorry.
Brian: You're my step-brother! We're not even blood! I have no qualms with sticking you! I will equalize you!
Peter Bretter: Sorry.
Brian: You dick!
