Rumor: Could Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face Still Be Alive?!

Two-Face in The Dark Knight

Do you believe it? One of last year's big debates was about the death of Two-Face at the end of The Dark Knight. Sorry for the spoiler, but considering the movie's already out on DVD and has nearly made $1 billion at the box office, if you haven't seen The Dark Knight by now, you're probably living underground anyway. Back in September, we ran an end-all article with a quote from actor Aaron Eckhart himself saying that "he is dead as a door nail." We thought that would be the last of it, but I guess we were wrong. MTV has ran an interesting article today claiming that Eckhart's reaction to their inquiry on the Golden Globes red carpet may hint at the return of Two-Face in another Batman movie. We'll let you be the judge of that!

Christopher Campbell's The Moviegoer - Baby Night in Synecdoche, New York

Synecdoche, New York

Of all movies to see with an auditorium full of crying babies, it just had to be Synecdoche, New York. Fortunately, this was my second time watching the film, which requires a good deal of attention. I usually become distracted when there's only one crying baby, let alone multiple crying babies. Shockingly, I actually came away noticing things in the film I hadn't spotted the first time around. How did this miserable moviegoing experience happen? By accident, of course. Sure, as "The Moviegoer," I've been curious about baby-friendly screenings, but I kept putting off attending one, for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, I had only one night available to visit my favorite East Bay theater, the Cerrito Speakeasy. And wouldn't you know, that one night was "Baby Brigade" night.

Christopher Nolan's Globes Speech in Honor of Heath Ledger

Christopher Nolan at the Golden Globes

For those of you that didn't watch the Golden Globes ceremony tonight (or just want to re-watch this part), we've got one of the best acceptance speeches of the night to share. Heath Ledger posthumously won the Best Supporting Actor award for his work in The Dark Knight and director Christopher Nolan accepted the award in his honor. His speech was heartfelt, touching and inspiring and we're glad to be able to show it to you again already. As always, I love featuring great acceptance speeches, even if they're not funny, and this is certainly one of them worth featuring tonight. So watch it (again) and enjoy!

2009 Golden Globe Winners - Slumdog Millionaire Triumphs!

Golden Globe Awards

The winners of the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards, the precursor to the Oscars, were announced tonight at an extravagant ceremony held at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills. Thankfully the results this year weren't as big of an upset as last year, with Slumdog Millionaire taking the top prize as Best Drama as well as winning awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Original Score as well. As for the ceremony itself, it was a definite improvement over the 30-minute press conference from last year, but was still a vast step down from the Oscars. Try again next year, HFPA! Read on for the full list.

Two New TV Spots - Friday the 13th and Watchmen

Watchmen

How about a little bit of entertainment to keep you occupied while watching the Golden Globes tonight? Two new TV spots have popped up on the web today, one from Friday the 13th, the other from Watchmen. No, this doesn't mean anything in relation to the Watchmen legal battle, as I'm sure Warner Brothers booked this TV spot months ago, before they knew what would happen. Neither of the new TV spots have that much good footage, but I'm always a fan of featuring them because it's the footage that most moviegoers will see as they're determining whether or not to actually catch the movie in theaters.

Jaime King Explains Sin City 2's Development Troubles

Jaime King and Frank Miller

With Frank Miller's The Spirit a certified flop, I'm starting to think Sin City 2 will never see the light of day, despite Miller saying that it's ready to shoot in April. However, we'll leave it to a beautiful actress like Jaime King (seen above with Frank) to tell us all about the problems that the sequel had in development. Back in the original Sin City, King played the luscious twin sisters Goldie and Wendy that Marv fooled around with. Not only did she show up in The Spirit, but she's also in My Bloody Valentine 3-D, which is how Collider caught up with her yesterday to talk all about Sin City 2's behind-the-scenes troubles.

Must Watch: Badass Trailer for Neo-Noir Sci-Fi Franklyn

Franklyn Trailer

Reality hasn't got a prayer. Franklyn is an awesome indie neo-noir sci-fi film that we've been following for more than a year now. We first debuted a very bootlegged trailer for it last October that has since been removed, but IGN has finally delivered the first official trailer today and it truly kicks some serious ass. This could be one of those incredible sci-fi films that unfortunately goes unnoticed and becomes a cult classic that every film geek loves. While I do still hope that it becomes a hit, I've got a feeling it's probably going to stay off the radar. All I know is that this kind of looks like the next phenomenal V for Vendetta. Thoughts?

Story Details on Broken Lizard's Greek Gods Comedy

Clash of the Titans

We already brought you one update from the Broken Lizard guys earlier this week (about Super Troopers 2), so why not another! Collider talked with Jay Chandrasekhar and Kevin Heffernan recently and while he ended up getting a lot of great details out of them about all kinds of Broken Lizard projects (you can find all of that here), the one that caught my eye the most was a project called Greek Road. You might have heard of it before, but if not, Kevin explains the concept of this Greek gods comedy and Jay gives the rundown on why it hasn't happened just yet. The good news is that it actually sounds like a fun script.

Take That McG - Michael Bay Takes a Shot at Terminator!

Terminator Robot

That's no Transformer you're looking at, that's a Terminator! Last year the big summer battle was between Iron Man and The Dark Knight, this year the biggest battle is going to be between Terminator Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Over on his own website, Michael Bay has taken a shot at McG and his "duplicate Transformer size robots." The director wrote an update on the Official Michael Bay Forums hyping up his upcoming Transformers 2 and saying that they've been waiting for all the other big summer movies to "get their stuff out" before they show us the first footage from Transformers.

Danny Elfman is Scoring McG's Terminator Salvation

Danny Elfman

Answer me this: Why do we only report that Danny Elfman will score a film and not any other composer? Does it had to do with the fact that Danny Elfman makes such wonderful scores? Or does it have to do with the fact that he always scores Tim Burton's movies, too? Who knows what the answer to that question really is, because here we are, reporting that Danny Elfman will be scoring Terminator Salvation. Ironically, it was Brad Fiedel, and not Elfman, who scored the original two Terminator movies and gave us that unforgettable Terminator theme. But Fiedel hasn't done any work since 1999, so Elfman it is!

Worth Watching - Jan 9: Noah Buschel's The Missing Person Trailer

The Missing Person Trailer

We haven't had a new "worth watching" trailer for quite a while and that's because there hasn't been that much worth watching. Today I finally have something worth pointing out, and it's a trailer for an upcoming Sundance movie called The Missing Person. If you love mysteries, or film noir, or movies about private investigators, stop what you're doing and watch this now. Michael Shannon stars as private investigator John Rosow who is hired to tail a man on a train from Chicago to Los Angeles. This looks pretty spectacular, like one of those indie gems that won't go far but will nestle its way into the hearts of critics everywhere.
