Another First Look: Dito Montiel's Fighting with Channing Tatum
Those of you that recognize Dito Montiel's name should be proud of themselves. Who is he? Dito Montiel is the New York-born filmmaker who made his directorial debut with the autobiographical A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints in 2006. That film went so well that Montiel decided to continue directing and set off to make Fighting, a rough-hewn heroic tale about high-stakes underground street fights starring Channing Tatum and Terrence Howard. We actually ran a first look for this in December of 2007, but Rogue Pictures has sent over two more new photos. This may not be Fight Club, but it might come close.

Must Watch: Broken Lizard's Slammin' Salmon Trailer
A few of you might have heard of Slammin' Salmon already, but if not, here's your chance to get acquainted! The comedy troupe behind Super Troopers, Club Dread, and Beerfest, known as Broken Lizard, is back with their latest comedy. This time they're making fun of the restaurant industry like you've never seen before. In Slammin' Salmon, the owner of a Miami restaurant (Michael Clarke Duncan) indebted to the mob institutes a contest to see what waiter can earn the most money in one night. I was expecting this to look good, but I didn't expect it to look this frickin' funny! Just watch the damn trailer already!

Mickey Rourke Joins The Enormous Expendables Cast
The newest name to be added to the call sheet for Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables is the comeback king, Mickey Rourke. Everyone should already be familiar with the rest of the cast by now, but if not, we'll go over it again. Besides Stallone and Rourke, also cast in Expendables is Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Forest Whitaker. It's a like who's who of the most badass actors in Hollywood. Rourke will play an unscrupulous arms dealer who becomes the go-to guy for a group of mercenaries planning to topple a South American dictator. Sounds like another solid addition.

Check This Out: Poster for Morgan Freeman's The Code
I'm almost certain no one reading this has ever heard of The Code. It's a heist movie about jewel thieves starring Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas, and Radha Mitchell. Thanks to Get The Big Picture, we've got our first look at the poster for the film. While it's titled The Code on the poster, it's also being called Thick as Thieves. In the film, Freeman plays a veteran thief who recruits a young crook to help him pull off one final job in order to repay his debt to the Russian mob. I really love the old school look of this poster, but as for the movie itself, that is yet to be seen. Either way, take a first look at this heist film below.

Garrett Hedlund Cast as the Lead in Disney's Tron 2.0
Apparently Olivia Wilde didn't have the only Tron 2.0 news to report today. 24-year-old actor Garrett Hedlund has been cast as the lead in the highly anticipated sequel. Hedlund landed the role over other more notable actors like Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine, and Cloverfield's Michael Stahl-David (who really needs another lead role). Additionally, the Hollywood Reporter is claiming that the title is now officially just Tron, without any numbers. Lastly, while Hedlund's character's name wasn't revealed, it seems we might finally have an idea of what the sequel will be about based on the character description they gave.

McG Helming Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Remake
From futuristic wastelands to the depths of the oceans. McG has signed on to direct 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo, a remake of the classic 1954 live-action Disney film of the same name. The original story, written by Jules Verne, was first published in 1870, but most people remember the Kirk Douglas version famous for its giant squid scene. This screenplay for this remake was written by Bill Marsilii, of only Deja Vu previously. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo is an origin story focusing on Nemo as he creates his warship, the Nautilus. Disney wants to get this made this year.

Watchmen Video Journal: The Minutemen
It's that time of the month and that means we've got the latest Watchmen video journal to share with all of you. Empire presents the 10th of 12 behind-the-scenes video journals chronicling the development of the film. Today's video journal focuses on the Minutemen - a group of "costumed avengers" that was formed before the events of Watchmen in 1939 and disbanded ten years later in 1949. It does a great job of explaining the overall concept of Watchmen - the idea of what if people dressed up in costumes and got into the vigilante business? For fans of Watchmen and newcomers alike, this is a great intro video.

First Look: First Real Photo from Judd Apatow's Funny People
As part of their big 2009 preview, Universal has debuted the first actual photo (not just the teaser poster) for Judd Apatow's Funny People. Seen in the photo is Adam Sandler as stand-up comedian George Simmons, Seth Rogen as his friend and stand-up comedian Ira, Leslie Mann as Simmons' love of his life Laura, and Eric Bana as Laura's current husband Clarke. Sound like one hell of a cast? It definitely looks like it! This is already starting to feel like Apatow's pièce de résistance. I hope it lives up to all of our early expectations because we're building up some immense hype for this. Check out the new photo below.

Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game Movie Has Been Scrapped
I hate to be the bearer of more bad news (we already announced that Shazam was dead), but it looks like Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game movie has also been scrapped. The one and only time that we mentioned this before was back in April of last year, where we reported that Wolfgang Petersen (of The Perfect Storm, Troy, Poseidon) had left the project. An update on the whole adaptation situation has arrived today courtesy of LA Times. Orson Scott Card himself spoke with the newspaper recently in promotion of his newest novel, a direct sequel to "Ender's Game" titled "Ender in Exile", which first hit bookshelves last November.

D.J. Caruso Next Directing Jack the Giant Killer
Remember that classic Jack and the Beanstalk fairytale? Now take that story, make it more "adult," and let Hollywood add some exposition -- that's what Jack the Giant Killer is. As described: "When a princess is kidnapped, a long-standing peace between men and giants becomes threatened, and a young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giant kingdom to rescue her." Really? This is actually becoming a movie? New Line has hired D.J. Caruso, of Disturbia and Eagle Eye most recently, to direct. The script was written by Mark Bomback, of Deception and the upcoming Race to Witch Mountain.

Official US Trailer for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li!
Fox has officially unveiled the US trailer for Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li on IGN. You've seen it in Japanese, now watch it in English! I don't know why everyone thinks this looks so bad? It's probably the best looking Street Fighter movie we'll ever get, it looks exponentially better than Dragonball, and it stars the extremely gorgeous Kristin Kreuk. What more could you ask for?! To top it all off, Neal McDonough is one of my favorite actors and as the villain M. Bison I have a feeling he's going to be one of the best parts. So give it another chance, watch this trailer in English, and try not to be too harsh.

Olivia Wilde Briefly Talks About Working on Tron 2.0
Damn, she's so gorgeous! In addition to Beau Garrett, Olivia Wilde is one of the few actresses officially cast in Tr2n aka Tron 2.0. While Jeff Bridges previously spoke about his involvement, Wilde is the first person to actually talk openly about working on the film and its scale. She spoke with SciFi recently and while she wouldn't reveal much at all (she couldn't even say her character's name), she did talk vehemently about the technology in the film and specifically about director Joseph Kosinski's sets, saying that they're building a large number of actual sets. I know you want to hear what she has to say, so read on!
