Watchmen Appearances at California Apple Stores
February 7, 2009
by Alex Billington
With the impending release of Watchmen just around the corner, Warner Brothers' marketing machine has been put into high gear to make sure the final debut is as exciting as everyone is hoping. Leading up to its release, however, are a few appearances by Dave Gibbons and director Zack Snyder at Apple Stores in Los Angeles and San Francisco in the next few weeks. There was also already an appearance by artist Dave Gibbons at an Apple Store in New York City last night. So if you're excited for Watchmen and live in Los Angeles or San Francisco, read on to find out when and where and who will be appearing!
Tuesday, February 17th at 7:00PM at the Apple Store in San Francisco - Artist Dave Gibbons will discuss, demonstrate illustrations and answer questions about Watchmen.
Tuesday, February 17th at 7:00PM at the Apple Store in Santa Monica - Director Zack Snyder and visual effects supervisor John "DJ" Des Jardin will discuss the creation of the CG character Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen.
I would be attending the presentation on the 17th in Santa Monica, but I happen to be involved in something else Watchmen related that very night. However, I suggest any of you that happen to be a combination of an Apple user, Watchmen lover, and Zack Snyder fan, make it out there that night. I'm sure it'll be a great presentation and there's nothing like see and hearing from the brilliant minds behind Watchmen. There's only just a few more weeks left until the highly anticipated movie hits theaters, so start getting ready now! Tickets will also be going on sale soon. And let us know if you attend either of these!
