First Look: Jim Jarmusch's The Limits of Control
If you don't know who Jim Jarmusch is, you better do some research. Not only has Darren Aronofsky mentioned him as an inspiration, but he was referred to as the savior of independent film in the 1980s. His latest project is called The Limits of Control and is about "the story of a mysterious loner, a stranger in the process of completing a criminal job." We haven't even heard of this until now, but it sounds like it could be great, and it's exciting to see Jarmusch again, since he last directed Broken Flowers in 2005. Thanks to the Spanish site eCartelera, we've got a fresh new batch of photos that everyone should take a look at.

Will Timur Bekmambetov Go Back to Yesterday with The Days Before?
Check out this concept: A man tries to save the world from time-traveling aliens out to destroy the planet one yesterday at a time. Is this for real?! Apparently it is! Although we're not so sure about the names attached, I just couldn't help mentioning this for that crazy concept alone. The film is called The Days Before and was written by first-time writer Chad St. John. According to the Production Weekly Twitter, the project has gained three big names: Wanted's Timur Bekmambetov (seen above) is in negotiations to direct and Robert Downey Jr. and Reese Witherspoon are in talks to star. Now this could be awesome!

No Zombies Yet, How About Pride and Predator Instead!
Just last week we wrote about a book by Seth Grahame-Smith that is hitting shelves later this year called "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" that's gaining some momentum in Hollywood. This whole concept came about because the text from Jane Austen's classic "Pride and Prejudice" went out of copyright and is now free range, meaning anyone can take it and mash it up into whatever they dream up. The latest creation is a concept called Pride and Predator, written by Will Clark, Andrew Kemble, and John Pape, about an alien that crash lands and begins to butcher the characters from "Pride and Prejudice". Awesome or not?

William Monahan Adapting John Grisham's The Associate
While we've heard plenty about The Associate before, the latest news regarding Paramount's big screen adaptation of John Grisham's legal thriller is that Oscar winning writer of The Departed, William Monahan, has been hired to adapt the novel. They're doing this completely out of order, because Shia LaBeouf got attached before Monahan was even hired. And now Monahan, who also has a plethora of his own projects in development, will have to figure out how to get this written in between his other projects. Either way, this has definitely become a high profile project in the hands of Monahan and LaBeouf.

Second X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV Spot: Brothers
As promised, Fox aired the second of three TV spots tonight for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The final TV spot will air tomorrow night and combined with the first one, they will form a short narrative revealing the origins of Wolverine. This is looking better and better the more we see but I'm beginning to wonder if this is just some editing wizardry or if Wolverine is actually going to be as awesome as this looks? Because it looks damn good! Stay tuned for the next TV spot tomorrow night during "American Idol" at 8PM - or if you hate that show as much as me we'll have it online without any of the fuss without minutes of its debut.

Ellen Barkin and Famke Janssen Join The Chameleon
Unfortunately The Chameleon isn't a new superhero. No, it's a psychological thriller based on the real Frederic Bourdin, a "con-artist" of sorts who has assumed at least 39 identities, 3 of them missing teens. Like Clint Eastwood's Changeling, the story is about a reunion of a young man with his family after being positively identified in an unsolved missing-persons case. The reunion turns bittersweet when suspicions arise about whether he really is their son. French director Jean-Paul Salomé will be making his English-language debut and has hired Marc-Andre Grondin for the lead as well as Ellen Barkin and Famke Janssen.

Oh Yes, Full Trailer for Lesbian Vampire Killers!
One movie we've been anxiously waiting to see is Lesbian Vampire Killers from the UK. We debuted a short, but sweet, teaser trailer for this back in December, and today we've finally got a tasty full-fledged trailer for your pleasure. There's really no need for an intro, because Lesbian Vampire Killers delivers exactly what it promises - lesbian vampires, and, I guess, killers of said lesbian vampires. I'm sure you'll just want to watch this no matter what I say about the title or the story or whatever. Though I'm not sure how many of you will still want to see this after watching the full trailer. Anyway, feast your eyes on this!

First Look: Michael Cera and Anna Kendrick in Scott Pilgrim
Edgar Wright has turned his MySpace blog into a utterly fascinating photoblog for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, since he's currently in pre-production getting ready to shoot. A week ago we featured his very cute photo of Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona V. Flowers from Scott Pilgrim and today we've got two more debuts to feature. The first is, obviously, Michael Cera as the title character Scott Pilgrim, and the second is up-and-coming actress Anna Kendrick as Scott's sister Stacey Pilgrim. The best part about these is that they're all self-explanatory - they're each holding up a photo of the character they're playing!

Quentin Tarantino Recaps the Inglourious Basterds Trailer
With the arrival of the new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen teaser today and the Taking of Pelham 123 and Angels & Demons trailers last week, I'm apprehensively wondering if the teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds got lost in the mix of things. I thought it looked pretty badass, although it definitely wasn't what I was expecting, but that's Tarantino for you. As a way of revisiting the trailer again this week, and to provide some additional explanation, I thought I'd feature some of the more exciting quotes from Empire's frame-by-frame discussion with Quentin Tarantino about the trailer.

Must Watch: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Teaser Trailer!
As promised, Paramount has released the official teaser trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen this morning after its debut in theaters in front of Friday the 13th. Although I'm also excited for Watchmen, I think this looks awesome, and it's probably the movie I am most excited to see this entire year. Something about Michael Bay boosting up the energy, excitement, and number of robots this time around really makes me giddy with fanboy joy. Plus, this is the perfect teaser to get fans in the mood for the return of Transformers this summer. It's just enough to whet our appetite and not much more, so enjoy!

First Look: Jon Foo as Jin Kazama in Tekken Movie
Although we've been hearing a lot about both the Dragonball and Street Fighter movies, things have been rather quiet on the Tekken front. Oh wait, you didn't know that a Tekken movie was also being made? Yep, and it's actually being done independently, meaning Fox doesn't have their grimy hand on this one. Luke Goss is staring as Steve Fox and he is joined by an array of talented actors, including Jon Foo, who is starring as Jin Kazama. Thanks to one of readers, we've got our first look at Foo as Jin, courtesy of his official website. It's not much, but it is our first real photo from the upcoming video game adaptation.

New High Res Photos from Imagi's Astro Boy
A fews week ago we posted two new photos from Astro Boy, the upcoming animated movie from Imagi Animation. Today we've got three more new high res photos to debut. I actually wanted to share these today because it gives me somewhat of an excuse to talk about how my mind was changed after seeing a full Astro Boy scene at the New York Comic Con a few weeks ago. The scene we were shown was the full version of the scene where Astro Boy first learns that he can fly. It was edited down to make up the teaser trailer which I really didn't like at the time. However, seeing it in its entirety, I'll admit that I was very impressed.
