Christopher Nolan to Direct Sci-Fi Film Inception Next!
Just like he did between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan will be shooting another project of his own before he returns to Gotham City. Nolan will direct a sci-fi action film called Inception at Warner Brothers which will be released in the summer of 2010. It is described as a "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind." Warner Brothers is producing with Nolan's wife Emma Thomas, as has been done on almost all of his previous films. The screenplay for Inception was written by Nolan and we're presuming he also collaborated with his brother Jonah Nolan.

Must Watch: Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds Teaser Trailer
Only three weeks after Quentin Tarantino finished shooting, the first teaser trailer for Inglourious Basterds has debuted. Courtesy of Yahoo, this gives us a good look at what Tarantino has whipped up in his crazy WWII feature, which stars Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, and plenty more great unknown actors. Let me be the first to say that this looks absolutely phenomenal. I'm a Tarantino fan and I love WWII movies and this looks like an amalgamation of the two that I could've only dreamed of one day seeing! Were there ever doubts that Tarantino couldn't pull this off?!

Tom Cruise Cast in David Cronenberg's Matarese Circle
This project has definitely bumped up a notch in terms of anticipation. Tom Cruise will be joining Denzel Washington in MGM's adaptation of Robert Ludlum's The Matarese Circle that is being directed by David Cronenberg and written by Wanted scribes Derek Haas and Michael Brandt. That means we get to see all three of them - Cruise, Washington, Cronenberg - working on a big-budget spy thriller in the vein of The Bourne Identity. Excited yet? Cruise is in final negotiations to take on the role of the Russian spy Vasili Taleniekov, mortal enemy of American CIA operative Brandon Scofield, to be played by Washington.

Must Watch: Full Trailer for Ron Howard's Angels and Demons!
Sony has just debuted the newest full trailer for Ron Howard's Angels & Demons. The thing about watch trailers for Angels & Demons is that there's nothing new that we'll see, especially if you've read the book. We know what's going to happen, no matter how drastic, and it's just a matter of seeing it come to life on screen. That said, though, I still really love this new trailer and I'm very excited for this anyway. It looks like such a drastic improvement over The Da Vinci Code and very thrilling and exciting, just like the book was. I'm glad to see he didn't hold back on anything, including how brutal all of the deaths were. Take a look!

Behind-the-Scenes of the Guggenheim Shootout in The International
One of the most impressive and entertaining scenes in the upcoming film The International is a shootout that takes place inside the famous Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Not only was it awesome watching Clive Owen battle a nearly endless number of henchmen, but it was mesmerizing imagining how much work went into pulling off a shootout this extensive without leaving as much as a single hole inside of the actual Guggenheim. Sony has provided us with a great behind-the-scenes video showing just how much work went into this and exactly how Tom Tykwer and his production team pulled this off. Enjoy!

The Fallen from Transformers 2 Makes His Appearance!
Why hello there, Mr. The Fallen, you're looking badass today! Earlier this week, some photos of the toy version of The Fallen hit the web, but I refused to run them, primarily because it was a toy and I didn't want to ruin the movie because of some toy photos. But alas, a much cleaner, better version of the Transformers villain known as The Fallen from the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has hit this morning and it is purely badass. So much so that I've decide to go against my own better judgment and feature it here, though you've been warned not to look if you want to save this reveal for the actual movie.

Sam Raimi's Ghost House Remaking Anguish and Room 205
Sam Raimi might finally return to his campy Army of Darkness days of old with Drag Me to Hell, as our friend Nick claims, but don't expect that influence to carry over to two new films that Raimi's Ghost House Pictures has acquired. They are remaking two European horror films - Anguish from Spain and Room 205 from Denmark. Ghost House has been behind some decent additions to the genre (30 Days of Night and The Grudge), but they've also brought to the screen duds like Rise and Boogeyman 3. The attached names also don't lead us to believe that either of these two will ascend out of C-grade territory.

Worth Watching - Feb 11: Ramin Bahrani's Goodbye Solo Trailer
There's one film that has consistently remained on my mind since I first saw it at the Toronto Film Festival last year and that's Goodbye Solo. It was suggested by Eric Lavallee of IONCinema and I caught a screening and was astounded. It's such a wonderful and affecting film in so many ways and I can't suggest it enough. It's about Solo, the happiest cab driver you'll ever see, who picks up a fare that wants to be dropped off at a mountain in two weeks. From there, the story unravels itself, and it's fascinating to see what someone with a free spirit like Solo does. This is one of those indie gems I wish I could show everyone!

Sandler, James, Rock, Schneider, and Spade Together At Last
Columbia Pictures has hit the jackpot! Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and David Spade are negations to star in an untitled comedy to be directed by Happy Gilmore and You Don't Mess With the Zohan helmer Dennis Dugan. Sandler's Happy Madison is developing and is planning to shoot over the upcoming summer. Taking a cue from some of Judd Apatow's comedies that take place over one day of time, the story, written by Sandler and Strange Wilderness writer Fred Wolf, is about five best friends from high school who reunite 30 years later on a Fourth of July weekend. Hilarity ensues.

William Monahan Helming Art of the Heist Adaptation
This kind of news is always a bit remarkable to report. Oscar winning screenwriter William Monahan is making his directorial debut on a feature film called London Boulevard that will star Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley. But before that even starts shooting, he's already lined up his next directing gig, which is a bit odd because he hasn't yet proven himself as a director in addition to being a talented screenwriter. Monahan is set to direct an adaptation of "The Art of the Heist: Confessions of a Master Thief, Rock-and-Roller and Prodigal Son," the forthcoming memoirs of career criminal Myles Connor which hits bookshelves in April.

Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins to Star in Woody Allen's Next
Woody Allen is unquestionably one of the most hardworking fiilmmakers around. The moment he nears completion on one film, he's already completely geared up to start production on another. And this is after already making an unbelievable 42 films since 1966. Allen has already found the two stars for newest secret and currently untitled project, that will be shooting in London this upcoming summer. Veteran actors Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins have both joined and are only the first two in the speculated ensemble cast. Unfortunately we have no clue what the plot will be about, or any other details, so stay tuned for more.

Rumor: Disney Making a Tower of Terror Movie?!
It worked with Pirates of the Caribbean, so why not with the Tower of Terror, too? I'm not sure whether I'm excited to report this rumor or just nervous about it. According to Bloody Disgusting, Disney is working on turning their popular theme park ride into a movie. "While rights issues are still being worked out, the plan is to follow a group of characters that enter a bizarre world where nothing is as it seems." The ride is inspired by "The Twilight Zone" TV series and first opened in 1994. I also loved this ride and always went on it every time I went to their park, which is why I'm not sure whether I should be excited or not?
