Gore Verbinski Bringing Us Another Clue Movie?!

Clue: The Movie

What else can Hasbro adapt if they've already got Monopoly, Ouija, Candy Land, and Stretch Armstrong movies in the works? Why not Clue? It worked once before, so let's do it again! Universal has attached Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski to another new adaptation of the Parker Brothers board game Clue. I'm sure everyone knows how to play, or at least knows that the game involves solving a murder by figuring out who did it and what object they used. Back in 1985, Paramount put out Clue: The Movie, which didn't do well at the box office (less than $15 million), but was remembered for its multiple endings.

Michel Gondry Directing Seth Rogen's Green Hornet!

Michel Gondry

When it was announced that Stephen Chow would no longer be directing The Green Hornet project that Seth Rogen had been developing, I was worried that we wouldn't see a better director eventually get the gig. But I was wrong. Michel Gondry, known as the wacky mind behind Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Science of Sleep, and Be Kind Rewind, has signed on to direct. While this is definitely not an expected choice, I'm certainly loving it. I was already excited for Green Hornet beforehand, and I'm a big Gondry fan separately, so combining those two was like seeing your two favorite actors finally work together.

Empire's Badass New Terminator Salvation Cover Shot

Empire's Badass New Terminator Salvation Cover Shot

Our friends over at Empire have posted a small sneak peek at their latest issue, which includes a brand new cover shot from Terminator Salvation. They claim there are a few more new photos inside the magazine, but alas, we've got to wait until a hard copy shows up in our mailbox. Additionally, since there's not much else too exciting to feature today, I thought I'd at least put up this cover shot, since it is pretty badass. Stay tuned for more on Terminator Salvation this weekend coming from WonderCon in San Francisco.

Catherine Hardwicke Adapting Gayle Forman's If I Stay

Catherine Hardwicke Adapting Gayle Forman's If I Stay

Apparently Summit Entertainment and Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke have resolved any major issues that originally arose during the shooting of Twilight, because Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Hardwicke has signed on to direct an adaption of Gayle Forman's forthcoming young adult novel "If I Stay" for Summit. The book is about a 17-year-old girl name Mia who gets in a car accident and in the blink of an eye finds herself watching her damaged body being pulled from the wreckage. She must decide whether or not she has the will to live. No screenwriter is officially attached to adapt yet either.

Official Crank: High Voltage UK Trailer Debut

Official Crank: High Voltage UK Trailer Debut

A brand new short 'n sweet 60-second trailer for Crank: High Voltage just debuted this morning over on Empire and because I love any and everything Crank, I'm featuring it below. It's basically a shorter version of the same trailer we've seen before, but it's worth watching again, just so so we can all be reminded of how badass this will be. I don't really care if people think this looks terrible, because I think it looks awesome, just downright ridiculous over-the-top fun. Jason Statham is a certified British badass and I can't wait to see him return as Chev Chelios yet again, especially when he requires electrical shocks to stay alive. Enjoy!

First Look: Video Game Footage from Dante's Inferno

Dante's Inferno

No, we're not a video game site, but it's a slow news day, and this does actually pertain to a movie in the end. On Halloween last year, we wrote about a bidding war in Hollywood over an unannounced video game from Electronic Arts called Dante's Inferno. Nothing was publicly known about the game, besides that it would involve a journey through the depths of hell and was a modern interpretation of the epic poem from Dante's Divine Comedy. EA has finally debuted a real trailer for the game (via SlashFilm) which means we now get our first look at the visuals, which will obviously be a big part of the eventual Hollywood adaptation.

Pedro Almodóvar's Broken Embraces Early Teaser Trailer

Broken Embraces Teaser Trailer

I've got a confession to make - I've never seen any of Pedro Almodóvar's films. Are they any good? I know that he won an Oscar for Talk to Her in 2002 and Penélope Cruz was nominated for an Oscar for Volver in 2007, but I've just never sat down and watched any of them. However, thanks to RopeofSilicon, we've got an early teaser trailer for his latest film, titled Broken Embraces, which yet again stars Penélope Cruz, and it looks pretty damn good. I just love the classic feel to it and the wonderful Ennio Morricone-like score in this and everything. Maybe I should be looking into Almodóvar's films! Check out the new teaser trailer.

Leading Ladies Set for Woody Allen's Next Film

Naomi Watts and Freida Pinto

It looks like Woody Allen may finally be giving up on Scarlett Johansson once and for all! A few weeks ago we announced that Allen had cast Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins for the two leading males is his next untitled project, which is not the same as Whatever Works, the other film that he's currently finishing up. Variety confirms today that Allen has also cast Naomi Watts and Freida Pinto as the two leading females in the London-set film, which will shoot there this summer. We still don't know any real plot details yet, but considering this cast seems a lot like the one in Match Point, I'm guessing it's another romance of sorts.

Will Sean Penn Play a Fair Game with Doug Liman?

Naomi Watts and Sean Penn

The first major project that has Sean Penn attached since he won the Oscar is Fair Game, an adaptation of Valerie Plame Wilson's autobiographical novel about her outing as a CIA agent. Originally this was setup at Warner Brothers, and we announced last year that Nicole Kidman was going to star, but she has since been replaced by Naomi Watts. Additionally, Warner Brothers has since dropped the project and now William Pohlad's River Road will be financing instead. The only bad news is that we're not sure Penn will actually join in the end or not, because he hasn't signed any deal, even though this has hit Variety.

Interview: The Man Behind Watchmen - Zack Snyder

Zack Snyder

This is the interview you've all been waiting to see. Zack Snyder, the man behind the cinematic version of Watchmen, who filmed what was said to be unfilmmable, not only an incredible filmmaker, but a visionary and an all-around great guy. This may only be his third feature film, but he pulled it off, he did what most thought was impossible. I've had a long history with Zack, so heading into this interview, I didn't want to waste my time on the usual questions, I wanted to instead focus on the few important things that have been on my mind since I saw Watchmen last week and since I first visited the set of Watchmen back in 2007.
