A Day in the Life at San Francisco's WonderCon
March 2, 2009
by Alex Billington
About a month ago when I went to the New York Comic Con I shot a video tour of the show floor to give everyone not in attendance an idea of what the NYCC was like inside. I just returned home tonight from WonderCon, which takes place in San Francisco and is the official little brother of the San Diego Comic-Con, and I've got another video that I shot on the show floor to share with all of you. Thankfully, for your benefit, I put some thought into the camera angles and so on, which means this should be more enjoyable to watch than the last one. So if you're excited, then dive right in for a taste of WonderCon!
Watch the Day in the Life at San Francisco's WonderCon video:
Please be patient while loading the video - the file size is big! Thank you!
The only major conventions I usually attend in any given year are New York Comic-Con, WonderCon, and San Diego Comic-Con, largely because there are big Hollywood presentations. However, as you can see, there is still something I love about going to comic conventions, even just to stop by Artist's Alley, pick up some extra comic books, or buy handfuls of toys. This video was shot using my Flip Mino, which allows me to give you an inside look at all the cool places I go. And don't forget, the reason I wanted to shoot these videos from the show floor is to show a few of you why comic conventions are so awesome. Enjoy!

are those cameras any good? I heard they suck if youre not very close to what youre taping.

Alex,
From all your reports Wonder-Con looked like it fullfilled some expectation, sorry for the crappy weather while you were here. I understand there was a lot of people trying to leave last night and this morning that didn't get out.
If *if* you get another chance to esseff check out the cartoon museum about three blocks over.
and hey, if you were in New York you may have had 15 inches of snow so our cloudy grey rain SF is a lot better!
Can't wait for July!
