Sundance's Anvil! The Story of Anvil Documentary Trailer

It's taken more than a year for the Sundance sensation Anvil! The Story of Anvil to finally hit theaters, but of course, some will say it's worth the wait. This documentary follows the metal band Anvil, now in their fifties, as they reunite to record their 13th album and tour Europe in one last attempt to fulfill their boyhood dreams. I never got to see it, but everyone who did walked out loving it, saying it was one of the best documentaries they saw that year, even if they hated metal before. We finally have a trailer for it and it certainly does look as good as everyone is saying. If you're already interested, then check out the trailer.
From James Rocchi's review: "Suddenly, you realize that Anvil! The Story of Anvil isn't about metal; it's about hope. It's not about rock; it's about belief. It's not about dreams; it's about work, sacrifice, friendship… It's better than most music documentaries. It's better than most documentaries, period."

About the Canadian metal band Anvil. At 14, Toronto school friends Steve "Lips" Kudlow and Robb Reiner made a pact to rock together forever. Their band, Anvil, went on to become the "demigods of Canadian metal," releasing one of the heaviest albums in metal history, 1982's "Metal on Metal." It went on to sell millions of records, but Anvil's career didn't flourish afterwards. Instead, they went straight to obscurity.
Anvil! The Story of Anvil is directed by British filmmaker Sacha Gervasi, Anvil roadie, first-time director, and screenwriter of The Big Tease and The Terminal previously. This first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival back in 2008 and was eventually picked up by Abramorama Entertainment for distribution. Anvil! The Story of Anvil will now arrive in very limited theaters starting on April 10th in New York and Los Angeles. To find out when and where this will be playing around the US, head over to the official website.

Is this real? Was their really an Anvil, because all I saw in there was a serious version of "This is Spinal Tap". I am extremely intrigued. It looks really good. To Wikipedia!

@5 Yes it's real
I've meet the bald guy, Glenn, dozens of times as I work with his daughters mother. She says they're always off doing shows in England, Australia, Japan, or wherever. They seem to have a pretty solid core fanbase worldwide.

Somewhere about 3/4's into it I stopped laughing and said:
"Wait … they're a REAL band???"
That's actually sad and kind of touching, in a way…
