First Photos of Sly Stallone in Action on The Expendables

Those first photos from Iron Man 2 weren't the only new set photos floating around today! The guys at SpoilerTV also got the first few photos of Sylvester Stallone in action on the set of The Expendables in Rio de Janeiro. We've been talking about casting on this for a while, and its finally started shooting, so expect more photos to start to showing up soon. Stallone was the only one shooting in this scene and you can see a couple photos of him, with a hand gun, jumping and diving around a pier. There's also a giant sea plane with "Global Wildlife Conservatory" written on the side, which I imagine is their cover name in the movie.
Click either of the photos above to see more. Sly explains via Twitter: "I had to chase a seaplane along a pier and jump inside which was like running headlong into hurricane Katrina." As a recap, The Expendables is about a team of mercenaries who head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator. In addition to Stallone, it also stars Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, and Charisma Carpenter. Sly also explained in an interview in Brazil that The Expendables is "a 1980's movie with today's technology." Does that mean we'll see some crazy Rambo-like action? I hope so!

YES this is more like it, action star Stallone in his usual form bringing out the 80s style back. You know them were the days of high quality movies. Wana see Jet Li in his new char, bad ass style, looking awesome already.

Damn. Looks like Sly finally got rid of that 'Copland' weight. He looks a little sickly in some of those pictures, but most he looks pretty damn good. Man, I hope I can look that good at sixty one. GOD, I hope does this movie like he did Rambo!!!!!

DAMN DUDE, STALONE LOOKS CRAZY IN SHAPE. I NEED WHATEVER HE'S USING. IM HOPING THIS MOVIE IS GREAT .LOOKING FORWARD ON SEEING HIM ON THE BIG SCREEN AGAIN. I can't wait for this!!! This won't be anything like righteous kill. Stallone has been 2 for 2, IMO, with the latest Rocky and Rambo. This will be over the top crazy action, probably very chezzy (but in a good way) and just look at the cast. That's reason enought to go see it. Bring it on Sly!!!
