New UPisode from Pixar's Up: Snipe Trap
April 7, 2009
Source: AOL
by Alex Billington
As part of on-going promotion for Up, Pixar has debuted the third video in the Adventures with Carl and Russell series (now called simply UPisodes) via AOL. You can watch the first video here and the second one here. These videos are content created purely for promotional purposes and are not scenes from the movie itself. This episode today shows us what happens when Russell tries to setup a trap to capture the elusive snipe in the jungle. These videos are pretty fun to watch and show us more of the character dynamic between Carl and Russell. I just hope they actually help convert a few people into big supporters of Up.
Watch the third UPisode titled First Aid:
By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn't alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.
Pixar's Up is directed Pete Docter, one of the original Pixar members who directed Monsters, Inc previously and wrote the stories for Toy Story and Toy Story 2. The film is co-directed and written by Bob Peterson, who also wrote Finding Nemo. Disney will debut Up in theaters everywhere on May 29th this summer.

Poor Russell - even with a flying house, he couldn't escape from this kid…
Nice clip, but I still like the trailer(s) more.

Im a huge fan of Pixar, so this seems Blasphemous… am I the only person who thinks this looks horrid? Every promotional piece I've seen looks like utter garbage, save for the 3D promo before Monsters vs Aliens (3D has become pretty awesome these days). I want to love this movie, but at this point it makes Dreamworks films look like Shakespeare.

They need to incorporate that dog. I gotta feeling that character is gonna steal the show - SQUIRREL!……

”I just hope they actually help convert a few people into big supporters of Up.”
Ok…just HOW MANY times do we need to hear this line?
Up is PIXAR! People don't need to be draged into theatres to see this…It looks phenomenal, it feels like a great epic Indy-like adventure and I cannot wait to see it.
Oh, and it has the greatest DOG ever.
As for the 'others', DreamWorks-Fox-etc…I'll fucking pass.
You should too.
