Supporting Cast Set for Russell Brand's Get Him to the Greek

For those who might've forgot, Get Him to the Greek is a spin-off feature film based on Russell Brand's character Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall last year. The script was again written by Nick Stoller and Jason Segel and Universal is putting it into production in August this year. Russell Brand and Jonah Hill are both set to star. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the supporting cast will include Rose Byrne, Elisabeth Moss, and rapper Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs in his first big screen role since Monster's Ball. Byrne will be taking on the role that Emily Blunt was originally rumored to be cast in.
Get Him to the Greek is about a fresh-out-of-college insurance adjuster (Hill) who is hired to accompany out-of-control British rock star Aldous Snow to a concert at L.A.'s Greek Theater. Byrne will play a promiscuous pop musician named Jackie Q who performs a duet with Snow. Moss is set to play Daphne Binks while Combs has been cast as Sergio. Rumors are that musicians Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Dee Snider will all show up as well. Sounds like one hell of an odd cast that Universal is pulling together. Nick Stoller, who directed Forgetting Sarah Marshall, is set to direct this starting in the fall.

That's the character they pick to create a spin off no one expected or wanted? Why can't they just make new movies and stop trying for all these sequels and prequels and spin-offs and everything else like that.

The Aldous Snow character was the highlight of an all-around very funny film. Brand stole every scene he was in. I can't wait to see more of Aldous' antics.

Should be an easy role for Brand to play, he acts the same way in real life.

I love Rose Byrne, and she is stunning on DAMAGES. I'll definitley see this now, but she always played more soft-spoken roles so it will be very interesting to see her pull this off.
