A couple of casting updates worth mentioning tonight. ShockTillYouDrop has confirmed that "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" star Thomas Dekker is the latest to join the cast of the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot being developed by Platinum Dunes. Dekker will star alongside of Kyle Gallner and Jackie Earle Haley, who will play Freddy Krueger. That remake is helmed by music video director Samuel Bayer and is written by Wesley Strick (Arachnophobia) and Eric Heisserer. In other news, THR reports that Patrick Wilson is the latest to join the cast of the J.J. Abrams' produced comedy Morning Glory.
Written by Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses), Morning Glory is about a pair of antagonistic news anchors on a struggling morning show and the up-and-coming news producer who tries to get them under control and boost ratings. Wilson joins alongside of Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton, who play the morning anchors, Rachel McAdams, who plays the up-and-coming producer, and Jeff Goldblum. Roger Michell (Notting Hill, Changing Lanes, Venus) is set to direct the film, which will start shooting next month in New York City. J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing through their Bad Robot banner.

Nice to see Harrison Ford back…he's been M.I.A. for quite some time now which is unusual for such an A list actor.

Thomas Dekker? Are they renaming it Gay Nightmare on Elmstreet? I hope he's the first to be sliced and diced, the longer his appearance in anything the higher the sissy quotient.
