Inside Pixar's Up: Unlikely Heroes - Great New Featurette

I really love Pixar, have I told you that? We've seen trailers, and cute UPisodes, and now we've got another featurette from Pixar's UP to share with you today, courtesy of MySpace. The last Up featurette we ran was called Discovering a Lost World and it looked at the world that Carl and Russell find themselves in down in South America. This featurette looks at the relationship between these two "unlikely heroes" who end up on an adventure together. I know we've seen a lot from Up so far, and this video spends the first half explaining the story that we all know, but I always love seeing Pete Docter and John Lasseter talk about their movies.

By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn't alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.
Pixar's Up is directed Pete Docter, one of the original Pixar members who directed Monsters, Inc previously and wrote the stories for Toy Story and Toy Story 2. The film is co-directed and written by Bob Peterson, who also wrote Finding Nemo. Disney will debut Up in theaters everywhere on May 29th this summer.

Ha ha, Alex! You're not the ONLY one who loves Pixar. So do I. And if they say it's the funniest film they've made so far, then balls, am I excited. Also, I was totally mezmarized by all the colors, but I'm weird that way.

With the quote funniest pixar movie ever made, looking back at other pixar movies. Most were not really about being comical but instead about being a great story told in an imaginative world. Few pixar movies have effectively made many of my peers and co workers laugh, such as a few scenes in Monsters Inc, Toy Story, and of course Finding Nemo with Dori. But films like Ratatouille, Cars, and Wall-E may not be completely devoid of humor but instead reflect soley on the development of a beautiful story. So this easily could be not only the funniest pixar movie but also one of the best. Heres hoping for another classic!

HA HA HA!!! Has an Indy adventure feel to it. That last part when he's slidding across the windows… LMFAO! Can't wait, how does Pixar just keep making better and better movies.

Wouldn't surprise me. A lot of people who have worked at Pixar worked on The Simpsons first (Brad Bird, David Silverman, Jim Reardon).

I saw Up yesterday afternoon at an early screening but it was an unfinished print that excluded two things: the short and the credits. I can't wait to see it again in like 5-6 weeks and see the short though, it sounds hilarious.
