Radcliffe and Heyman Drop Hints on Deathly Hallows Split

Yes, we know that Half-Blood Prince is only just hitting theaters in a few months, so it may be a premature to talk about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but alas, they're shooting it now, so why not? Harry Potter himself, actor Daniel Radcliffe, talked with Empire recently, along with producer David Heyman, and revealed some details regarding the split in Deathly Hallows. We first reported that Warner Brothers was going to split the seventh book into two movies back in March of last year, but of course, we don't know where exactly they'll split it. "We've played around with a couple of places," Heyman teases…
He continues, "[We] ultimately settled on a place that we think is very exciting, and I think quite bold, in that it's not necessarily where one might expect. You want to give a sense of completion, on one hand, but a sense that there's another piece, more to come. We tried one and then [writer] Steve Kloves, came up with the idea to try it another way and when we tried that, it felt just right." Radcliffe also chimed in with a bit of a juicy tidbit, saying the split is "at a very tense cliffhanger," which may be a bit of a clue for fans familiar with the book. Okay, so he didn't reveal the exact details of the split, but that's the only tease we need.
Although this is a completely different series of movies, I can't help but remember back to May 15th, 2003, when Matrix Reloaded first hit theaters, and at the end (right after Neo stops some sentinels in the real world with his mind), the words "To Be Continued" popped up. Although I didn't really want to wait another six months, it made me more excited for Matrix Revolutions than I've ever been for anything in my entire life. And I know I'm going to have that same feeling with Deathly Hallows: Part I, which is split from Part II by roughly eight months. But before we get to that, I'm just anxious to see Half-Blood Prince.

Personally, I'd be willing to sit through 4 hrs if necessary… I'm not sure that splitting it is such a good idea… To split it and not let it spill into the media would be great though! I wish hollywood would take risks like that!

I think I have a solid idea where they are going to split the movie. But I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone.

Sounds like it could be at Godric's Hollow.

it also sounds like it could be where Harry fell into the water trying to get the sword of Gryfindor and Ron reaches in to save him but it would just end with the hand grabbing Harry and you won't know who it is until part 2

If they delay part II like they did with the 6th movie, there will be riots in the streets. That's all I have to say.

Really, Alex? You were more excited at the end of Matrix Reloaded then you'd ever been in your entire life? My reaction after seeing Reloaded…"What the hell was that crap?" Still have never seen Revolutions. Such a shame…the Matrix was awesome. Reloaded reeked of taint juice.

the thing that pisses me off is how it took them almost a year later than originally planned to finally release the movie, and now I have to wait at least another year to watch the end….
