Update on Hans Zimmer's Involvement with Transformers 2

This is not really news as much as it is an opportunity for me to provide on an update on a previous story from a few days ago. Back on Sunday, Linkin Park frontman Mike Shinoda announced that they were working on a new song for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with composer Hans Zimmer. Not that we really thought that Zimmer was scoring Transformers, but it was interesting to hear him specifically mentioned instead of the actual composer - Steve Jablonsky. However, the guys over at Sci Fi Scoop got in touch with Jablonsky and got some clarification on the whole situation, for those who may be interested.
I think it's easiest to just let you hear what Jablonsky told them about work on the Transformers score.
"In a nutshell, Michael Bay sent the new Linkin Park song over to my studio. Hans and I had a listen, and we both thought it was really cool, and it might be interesting to try incorporating some of those elements into the score. So we got the guys from the band down to the studio and talked about how to do that. They're all really cool guys and really excited about adding some of their sounds to the score."
"But I am still the composer on this film. It has all gotten rather complicated. The film is BIG, and now that we've got Linkin Park involved, Hans has kind of been helping me keep the production on track, because I'm so focused on writing the score at the moment."
So there you have it. Yes, I know that Steve Jablonsky is part of Hans Zimmer's team Media Ventures, and they work together all the time. However, for those that may not be aware of this, it's rather interesting and exciting to hear that Zimmer is working with Jablonsky to come up with some of the elements of the score. I'm a huge fan of all of Zimmer's work and anytime he's involved on a project, I usually go out of my way to listen to that score, because I know it'll be great. And now we know to expect the same with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Don't forget to stick around for the new trailer, due out a bit later this afternoon!

music is very important to all movies,it adds a lot of atomshpere to a certain scenes.the music that signaled the arival the of the robots in france and the attack on the aircraft carriers in the trailer for transformers 2 revenge of the fallen got me hard enough to hammer in nails with my cock.can't wait for this movie.

#5 - What's not to love? Linkin Park. Transformers would've been so much better if Bay cut out all the rock cues (the few there are) and just let Jablonsky score the whole thing.

This should be an awesome score/soundtrack to an awesome movie.
Transformers 2 is going to rock the world come June 24th.

Jablonsky's score for the first Transformers movie was amazing and I'm sure he and Hans will come up with something at least as great this time. Can't wait!

I wish they would just let Steve Jablonsky score the whole movie. Every single moment of the film should be scored by him. I really hate when films have good composers and and put in industrial sounding music to tell the story. This always takes me out of the scene. In the first film, I remember every time rock music came on during a scene following Jablonsky's score, it completely changed the mood of the situation. The scenes, for me, lost all threat, emotion and seriousness.
