Sound Off: Observe and Report - What Did You Think?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? Hitting theaters this weekend is Observe and Report, the follow-up comedy from The Foot Fist Way director Jody Hill. The movie is about as shocking, crazy, and funny, as anything can ever get, but not everyone may have enjoyed it. We've seen a lot of good comedies recently, so how does Observe and Report stack up? Was Seth Rogen able to break out of his norm this time? Was the story too dark and unfunny? Or was it better that way, with a few unexpected twists and turns? Sound off below, leave your thoughts, and let us know what you thought of Observe and Report!

Must Watch: First Crazy Trailer for Johnnie To's Vengeance
From Hong Kong filmmaker Johnnie To comes Vengeance, a brutal tale about a French assassin-turned-chef who travels to Hong Kong in order to avenge the murder of his daughter. I owe my thanks to Twitch for first digging up this glorious trailer. Its got somewhat of an old school John Woo feel to it, although that might not be accurate, because Johnnie To has been making films since 1986, almost as long as Woo has. Anyway, if you're a fan of Hong Kong cinema or Johnnie To or just want to see a badass trailer, then watch this. Although, since this is international, it may contain violence - you've been warned!

Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs the World Video Blog #1
The latest update from director Edgar Wright up in Toronto this time is a video blog, featuring a basic introduction to the on-set work and behind-the-scenes of Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Being not only a big fan of the comic books that this movie is based on, but also just a big fan of movies (obviously), this video was quite awesome to see. I mean, just look at the life they're living! Hardcore morning work out sessions, stunt and fight training, Edgar Wright shenanigans all day long, and it's all a paid gig! Sadly this video isn't embeddable, so you've got to head over to the official website to watch it (for now).

Magnolia Bringing World's Greatest Dad to Theaters in Late August
One of the few films from Sundance this year that I've been telling everyone about is Bobcat Goldthwait's World's Greatest Dad. It's an immensely dark comedy starring Robin Williams and Alexie Gilmore about, well, I almost don't want to tell you what it's about so I don't ruin your experience. This news today comes from The Wrap, where they say that Magnolia Pictures has picked up World's Greatest Dad and is planning to put out in theaters in late August in addition to an On Demand release prior. Great news, because I was worried this fantastic indie would get lost in the mix this year if someone didn't pick up.

First Look: Very First Set Photo from Tron 2 in Vancouver!
As you might have heard, Tron 2 officially started shooting up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada recently. Yesterday we reported that the budget might be upwards of $300 million, although after further consideration, we realized that might've been in Canadian dollars, meaning it's probably closer to $243 million, which is still a whole hell of a lot. To top things off, SlashFilm landed the very first set photo from Vancouver. Although it's not much, it is interesting for numerous reasons. That logo is for ENCOM, the software company that Flynn worked at, and they converted the whole building into a set piece.

Duncan Jones' Moon Sci-Fi Also Gets a Brilliant Poster
Yesterday afternoon we debuted the fantastic trailer for Duncan Jones' indie sci-fi flick Moon starring Sam Rockwell. We thought it couldn't get any better, but it has. AICN debuted the poster last night, too, and it's just as stunning as the trailer. I was already very fond of the teaser poster put out late last year and this is just as beautiful. Simple, but effective, powerful but subtle, the perfect combination of art and function, at least for a poster. Oddly, I'm very satisfied with the marketing for Moon so far, which is quite impressive for Sony Pictures Classics. Anyway, if you thought the trailer was great, be sure to check out the poster, too.

Second Full Trailer for Butler and Heigl's The Ugly Truth
Sony has debuted the second trailer for their big summer romantic comedy The Ugly Truth starring Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl. We actually debuted the first trailer last November, when it was slated to be in theaters next week, so I'm sure this trailer is a response to the release date shift and a way of reminding people to hang on until July. I'm going to make a confession - I'm actually really excited for this. Something about the dynamic between Butler and Heigl just seems hilarious. I'm looking forward to it, even though it's pretty much a standard rom-com. Anyone want to bet these two get together in the end?

Downey Jr. Already Talking About Sherlock Holmes Sequels?
You have got to be kidding me? We haven't even seen an official trailer for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes yet, and Robert Downey Jr. is already talking about sequels?! Of course, leave it to MTV to report this news. Not that there was ever any doubt, but Downey Jr. confirms that Sherlock Holmes will end up rated PG-13, with a family friendly tone. Okay, so maybe it is Guy Ritchie's first PG-13 movie, so what? Anyone have a problem with this? Additionally, RDJ said briefly, "I feel like there's going to be a Sherlock Holmes 2." Uh, it's a bit early to make that call, but I guess I'd say it's on Warner Brothers' plate if this does well in the end.

Must Watch: Phenomenal Trailer for Duncan Jones' Moon!
Sony Picture Classics has debuted the first trailer for Duncan Jones' Moon, the brilliant indie sci-fi film starring Sam Rockwell that first premiered at Sundance earlier this year. This is one of the best trailers I think I've ever seen for an indie. Not only is the big reveal still kept fairly secret (you don't have to worry too much), but they use Clint Mansell's beautiful score, and it's overall a fantastic two minute summation of one of the best films of the year. I gave the film an 8.5 out of 10 at Sundance, saying that it's "by no means a sci-fi epic, but it is gritty, dark, lightly comical, and thoroughly entertaining." Check out the trailer below!

Is Emmy Rossum Interested in Neil Gaiman's Death?
She's fallen in love with the Phantom, braved the ultimate blizzard, and fought Piccolo, so what possibly could be next for Emmy Rossum? The absolutely gorgeous 22-year-old actress, who I am secretly in love with, spoke to MTV recently while promoting Dragonball Evolution and admitted she's really a big geek. "The mangas that I read are the Neil Gaiman stuff, like 'Black Orchid'... Okay, maybe I am a geek." I think I might faint! When asked further about Gaiman's work, Rossum revealed that they're trying to adapt both "Black Orchid" and "Death", two of his graphic novels which just so happen to be about female characters.

A Few More New Star Trek Photos to Hype You Up
With only 29 days to go until J.J. Abrams' Star Trek hits theaters, anxiety is starting to really kick in. And all these new TV spots and clips and photos and posters aren't helping one bit. Thanks to DVD-Forum we've got a handful of new never-before-seen photos, including a few of Simon Pegg and Zoe Saldana. Oh wait, you didn't know Simon Pegg was in Star Trek? Yep, he is, and he eventually becomes the engineer on the USS Enterprise. Well, we get to see that story in the movie, at least. With that said, enjoy these new photos, go revisit the latest trailer, and try to be patient for just 29 more days. It'll be here before you know it!

Disney's Tron 2 Also Going to Cost $300 Million to Make?!
Who said the economy is hurting Hollywood? A few weeks back we ran article about how the cost of James Cameron's Avatar was pushing $300 million, but that came from a quote in Time which was later disproved by both the writer and Fox. Now today, found within an article in the Vancouver Sun newspaper (via SlashFilm), is this tidbit about the budget of Disney's highly anticiapted Tron 2, which is now shooting. "Vancouver post-production units are salivating at the prospects presented by the Disney remake of Tron, which carries a whopping $300 million budget and opportunities aplenty for effects and digital polish."
