Hugh Jackman Condemns Wolverine Leak; Buzz Still Strong
As unfortunate as the X-Men Origins: Wolverine leak was, it has created a bit more buzz, at least in theory (we have yet to see how well it'll do on opening weekend). Take these results from a recent MovieTickets.com poll: 70% of male ticket buyers polled, and 60% of female ticket buyers, intend to see Wolverine on opening weekend. Additionally, 3 of the 5 age groups polled (Under-24, 25-34, 35-44) list Wolverine as the No. 1 next film they intend to see in theaters. Of course, because it's the first big summer movie opening on May 1st, this could all just be natural, but this is a good sign it'll still do well, I think.

Terry Crews Confirms Arnold's Terminator Salvation Cameo?
I promise this is the absolute last time we'll bring this up until Terminator Salvation has actually hit theaters. We've heard endless rumors about Arnold Schwarzenegger's appearance in the upcoming Terminator movie, but nothing has been confirmed. However, MTV is claiming that it's actor Terry Crew who has finally said for sure that Arnold is in Terminator. "There are a lot of guys in that movie. I mean, Terminator 4 is very big," Crews says. Obviously! His answers to their questions were a bit short, but if we're to believe MTV and Crews, it seems as if Arnold really is going to show up in Terminator.

First Trailer for Robert Rodriguez's New Kids Movie 'Shorts'
Are you ready for "mild action and some rude humor" from Robert Rodriguez? Warner Brothers has debuted the new trailer for Shorts, Rodriguez's newest kids movie in the same vein as Spy Kids and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D. Don't expect anything too exciting out of this - it's just a kids movie. Shorts is about a bullied kid that finds a magical rainbow colored rock that grants him wishes. And yep, Robert Rodriguez not only wrote and directed it, but he's also credited as the editor, producer, visual effects supervisor, and cinematographer. It looks kind of fun, I guess, I'll probably see it. Will you?

The Weinstein Company Loses the Rights to Sin City 2?! Updated!
Over the last few months, we've reported on a few solid updates regarding Sin City 2, but of course, it still hasn't been given the greenlight. Now we may know why. IESB is reporting that The Weinstein Company has lost the rights to Sin City 2. They don't have any specifics, but they're saying that the sequel will now be financed by a private equity group and that Robert Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios will still produce. As of last December, Frank Miller said that he had finished the script and was readying the movie. Most recently, Rosario Dawson confirmed that the script was done and that it might happen this year.

Gore Verbinski Ditches Pirates of the Caribbean for BioShock
This isn't exactly new news, but considering we didn't know what Gore Verbinski would be directing next, it is at least news. Variety has confirmed that Verbinski has told Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer that he will not be directing the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Instead, Verbinski will be moving onto the live-action adaptation of the video game BioShock, which was first announced last May. Universal is developing this, with a script written by Oscar nominated screenwriter John Logan of Any Given Sunday, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, The Aviator, and Sweeney Todd.

Al Pacino to Play Napoleon in John Curran's Project?
Al Pacino is a legend in his own right. He's played countless iconic characters, uttered famous lines in famous scenes of famous films. And he's set to do it again. The actor has long been interested in playing one of the most complex and infamous characters in human history: Napoleon Bonaparte. With Betsy and the Emperor, he's finally going to get his chance, according to THR. The film is to be the screen adaptation of Staton Rabin's children's book "Betsy and the Emperor", about Napoleon's last five years in exile on the island of St. Helena and his interactions with the teenage daughter, Miss Betsy Balcombe, of his jailer.

Check This Out: Teaser Poster for Kaare Andrews' Altitude
Every once in a while I come across something so damn cool, I just have to feature it, even though I don't know much about it. ShockTillYouDrop gets the credit on this one, though, as I first found out about Kaare Andrews' project Altitude and this teaser poster through them. The plot of Altitude is described as: "After a mysterious malfunction sends their small plane climbing out of control, a rookie pilot and her four teenage friends find themselves in a showdown with a malevolent supernatural force." I'm hoping that this is exactly what it sounds like - a supernatural thriller set almost entirely in the air. Anyone interested?

Three people, one horse, and Jackie Chan. That's Big Soldier for you, a story set during the Warring States Period in China with a $25 million dollar budget produced, written by, and starring Chan, according to Variety. Along a Chan, fellow Chinese actors Lee Hom, Lin Peng, and South Korean actor Yoo Seung-Jun will be starring with Ding Sheng, of only the 2008 film Underdog Knight previously, directing.

Larry Charles Directing Black List Script Winter's Discontent
Eclectic director Larry Charles, of Borat, a few episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm", Religulous, and the upcoming Bruno, will next direct Winter's Discontent. The comedy, written by first-timer Paul Fruchbom, was featured on last year's Black List, and is one of a few scripts from that list that have been making headlines recently (the other being Butter). The amusing logline for Winter's Discontent is as follows: When Herb Winter's wife of fifty years dies, the faithful but sexually frustrated widower moves into a retirement community to start living the swinging single life. Sounds like one hell of a steamy project.

Exclusive: Teaser Poster for Nora Ephron's Julie and Julia
Oh, how adorable! The first poster for Nora Ephron's Julie & Julia, starring Amy Adams as Julie Powell and Meryl Streep as Julia Child, has debuted, and we've got it exclusively for you! In case you missed it, we included a first look photo of Meryl Streep back in the EW look at the Movies of 2009. Hopefully Sony will debut the trailer soon, as it's hard to say much about this without some footage. Those of us at ShoWest last week were shown a lengthy preview of the film, and it looks quite charming, although not at all anything any fanboy would be interested in. Anyway, check out this teaser poster and stay tuned for more soon!

New UPisode from Pixar's Up: Snipe Trap
As part of on-going promotion for Up, Pixar has debuted the third video in the Adventures with Carl and Russell series (now called simply UPisodes) via AOL. You can watch the first video here and the second one here. These videos are content created purely for promotional purposes and are not scenes from the movie itself. This episode today shows us what happens when Russell tries to setup a trap to capture the elusive snipe in the jungle. These videos are pretty fun to watch and show us more of the character dynamic between Carl and Russell. I just hope they actually help convert a few people into big supporters of Up.

Sony's Shadow of the Colossus Headed to the Big Screen
One of the most cinematic games is now making it way towards cinemas. The Shadow of the Colossus video game is being developed by producer Kevin Misher (Fighting, Public Enemies, Case 39) at Columbia Pictures. Hollywood's new favorite fanboy writer, Justin Marks of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, Voltron, and Masters of the Universe, has been hired to write the screenplay. The game, which first hit shelves in 2005, follows a character known as Wander, who along with his horse Agro, travels across a western-style landscape to defeat enemies known as Collosi, while Wander tries to save the girl Mono.
