Beautiful New Photos from Lars von Trier's Antichrist
One film that I'm looking forward to seeing at the Cannes Film Festival next month is Lars von Trier's Antichrist starring Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Besides the fact that the trailer looked quite wild and creepy, I just think cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle's work on this is quite beautiful, and to show you some more examples of his work, we have a few new photos. These come straight from Zentropa Entertainment, so head over to Flickr if you want to use any of them as your desktop wallpaper. Otherwise, check out the gorgeous photos below and let us know if you're excited to eventually see this as well.

Does Judd Apatow's Funny People Have Oscar Potential?
Yes, I know it's way too early in the year to already be talking about next year's Oscars, however, a few interesting stories have start popping up across the web about Judd Apatow's newest summer film Funny People. The buzz is specifically coming from Jeffrey Wells at Hollywood Elsehwere, where he has collected feedback from a few different test screenings of the film in LA. The quote that kicked it all off is from one of Wells' director friends. "Possibly an award-level thing," he told Wells. "It's more in the realm of Sandler for Best Actor and Apatow's script for Best Original Screenplay, he speculated, than a Best Picture shot."

Must Watch: Official US Trailer for Na Hong-jin's The Chaser
Those of you who are fans of South Korean cinema need to watch this trailer for The Chaser. Okay, I'll admit that voiceover talking about how this is being remade is a bit ridiculous, however, the reason why this is great to see is because it's one of the best foreign films I've seen in the last few years and yet no one knows about it. I saw The Chaser at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX last year and it was fantastic (no pun intended), really one of a few films that has stuck me since I first watched it, and I can't wait to see it again. Anyway, give this trailer a shot and if you're interested, please seek it out and watch it. You won't be let down.

More New Photos from Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones
Earlier this week we featured the very first photo from Peter Jackson's highly anticipated adaptation The Lovely Bones. Stuffed in the latest issue of Empire (that's about the 10th time I've said that this week) are a few new photos from the film, including our first good look at Saoirse Ronan as the lead character Susie Salmon . Additionally seen in the photos are Susan Sarandon (above), who plays Susia's grandma, and Mark Wahlberg (below), who plays Susie's father. I expect this film to gain quite a bit of buzz over the summer, considering it is Peter Jackson who's directing, and it is a very heartfelt and somewhat controversial story.

Universal Puts Gore Verbinski's BioShock Movie on Hold
In a very odd decision, Universal Pictures has stopped all pre-production on BioShock, the live-action adaptation of Take-Two's video game. Two weeks ago it was confirmed that Gore Verbinski told Disney he would not return to direct Pirates of the Caribbean 4 because he would instead be directing BioShock. According to Variety, the budget of this project had gotten too out of hand for Universal's likes and therefore they have stopped its development, and let some production staff go, until they can figure out what to do. I really hope this is only a brief delay, because I'm personally very excited to one day see a BioShock movie.

Worth Watching - Apr 25: Tom Arnold in The Skeptic Trailer
What do you believe? IFC Films has finally debuted a trailer for The Skeptic, another horror thriller about a haunted house of sorts, but I'm featuring this one today because it feels a bit different. This is somewhat of an older film, as it was actually shot in late 2005/early 2006 and is just coming out this year. It stars Tom Arnold, Zoe Saldana, Andrea Roth, and most importantly, Tim Daly, who seems to make all the difference. Maybe I'm just being to optimistic, but it looks like Daly is one of the only really great parts of this. Realistically, it's probably a really bad film anyway, but at least it has a good trailer. Check it out below.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Will Have Multiple Secret Endings!
I just stepped out of a screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on the Fox lot in Los Angeles and before it started, director Gavin Hood stopped by to introduce the film. He spent most of the time thanking us for coming to this screening and seeing Wolverine the way it should be seen, in theaters, and talked about how many difference there were between the final cut and the early leaked version. He then mentioned that Marvel has a tradition of hiding easter eggs in their films, and it's no exception for Wolverine. They've hidden multiple secret endings on different prints and theaters will be showing different versions.

Michael Caine Confirmed for an Appearance in Inception
Just yesterday we announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was the latest great actor to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's sci-fi action film Inception. We still don't know anything about it (any ideas anyone?), but we do now know that Michael Caine will be in it, too. The actor revealed to In Contention that he as a "little part in it." Obviously not enough of a part for them to write up a whole press release for, but he's definitely in it! "Chris and I are very good friends so I'll do that little part. I think I'll work about three days. It'll be extraordinary, wait until you see this one. I think if I say another word he's going to kill me!"

A Few New Avatar Behind-the-Scenes Photos from Empire
Everyone should already know that anytime anything from James Camerons' Avatar shows up, I've got to post it. The latest issue of Empire magazine features a few new behind-the-scenes shots of Cameron in action. Our friends over at MarketSaw have scanned a few of the photos, however, we're just going to show you the two of them full-size and won't include any of the cropped background elements. The MarketSaw guys actually Photshopped out some of the screens and characters in the background, but that's a bit crazy, and you can't really see anything anyway (but you can look if you want). Check out the two scans below.

Jonathan Liebesman's Odysseus Ends Up at Warner Brothers
Good news for Jonathan Liebesman - his next project titled Odysseus will be a Warner Brothers feature. The studio won a bidding war over Paramount for the film, which features a script written by Liebesman's collaborator Ann Peacock. Odysseus is another retelling of the classic story about the legendary hero Odysseus, who returns to his island after 20 years of fighting the Trojan Wars, only to find his kingdom under the brutal occupation of an invading force. Odysseus single-handedly defeats every last man and takes back his wife, his son and his kingdom. 300 producer Gianni Nunnari is developing via Hollywood Gang.

One Very Flowery Poster for Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno!
Universal has just debuted the official poster for Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno and it's just about the most disturbing poster you'll ever see. Obviously, that's exactly what they're going for, but wow, this is even just hard to look at. Everyone I know around the US is buzzing about Bruno. I've heard some great things from test screenings - mainly that it really is so much more ridiculous than Borat. I can't wait to see the reactions to this poster once it gets put up in theaters. I'm sure there are going to be a lot of double-takes and I'm sure there may even be some protests. Did anyone seriously think Sacha Baron Cohen could pull this off twice?

Must Watch: First Full Trailer for Rob Zombie's H2
Dimension Films has unveiled the first full trailer for Rob Zombie's H2: Halloween 2, the continuation of his rebooted horror series from 2007. This picks up literally right where the first film left off, so get ready to jump into the action right away. I wasn't a fan of Rob Zombie's remake to begin with and don't really care much about this sequel. This trailer pretty much confirms my suspicions about how bad this is going to be. It looks pretty damn awful so far, and I'm already planning on skipping it. But alas, I'm sure there are still plenty of Michael Myers fans out there who do like what Zombie has done with this series. Give it a shot!
