Wanted's Mark Millar Responds to Pooh Writer Mayhem
A couple of days ago we reported on Universal's choice to hire a writer named Evan Spiliotopoulos to work on the script for Wanted 2. However, Spiliotopoulos's only past writing credits include such Disney classics as Pooh's Heffalump Movie and The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning. Everyone I know has made fun of Evan for this, even though I try to remind people that he's probably just a writer working in Disney for the moment, but capable of so much more. Well, Wanted creator Mark Millar chimed in via his own forums today and states exactly what always I thought about Spiliotopoulos - he's got more in him.

A Quick Look at the Remaining 2009 Science Fiction Movies
I'm a big fan of anything and everything science fiction, and I'll gladly admit that the movies I'm most excited for are usually from that genre. We've already seen a few great sci-fi flicks so far this year, like Monsters vs Aliens and Knowing, but there are a plenty more great ones yet to come. In fact, there are at least 14 more sci-fi movies still due out this year, including one that may just revolutionize cinema as we know it. The summer movie season finally kicks off in a few more weeks, and debuting the second weekend into May is one of the biggest sci-fi movies of the year, Star Trek. But that's only just the beginning...

The Film Feed: Episode 10 - Crank 2 Was Kinda Boring
In this episode of The Film Feed, hosts Will, Clark, and Sean get a little too excited about this week's movies news and trailers, specifically the new clip from Shane Acker's animated movie 9, the ShoWest footage from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen that nearly killed all three of them, and the new trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. If you weren't excited, you certainly will be after this. Lastly, the guys review the newly released Crank: High Voltage, which was certainly anything but boring, and even considered a great movie by one or two of them. Be sure to tune in every week for The Film Feed!

Check These Out: Panoramic Photos of the USS Enterprise
I probably should have featured these photos when they first popped up on the official website for Star Trek, but I didn't, and because they're so damn cool, I'm going to feature them today anyway. Found one of the best movie websites of the last few years (startrekmovie.com) are four different panoramic photos from the new USS Enterprise seen in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. If you're a Trek geek, movie geek, photography geek, or any kind of geek, you need to see these in all of their full glory (with the ability to control the pan and zoom). It's exhilarating to see how much detail went into designing this iteration of the USS Enterprise.

Radcliffe and Heyman Drop Hints on Deathly Hallows Split
Yes, we know that Half-Blood Prince is only just hitting theaters in a few months, so it may be a premature to talk about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but alas, they're shooting it now, so why not? Harry Potter himself, actor Daniel Radcliffe, talked with Empire recently, along with producer David Heyman, and revealed some details regarding the split in Deathly Hallows. We first reported that Warner Brothers was going to split the seventh book into two movies back in March of last year, but of course, we don't know where exactly they'll split it. "We've played around with a couple of places," Heyman teases...

Dark Castle Adapting Alien Graphic Novel The Nye Incidents
Dark Castle Entertainment has picked up the rights to Devil's Due graphic novel The Nye Incidents, from sci-fi and horror novelist Whitley Strieber. The production company Dark Castle is one of Warner Brothers' horror-specific labels, with a filmography including House on Haunted Hill, Thir13en Ghosts, Ghost Ship, Gothika, and The Reaping. However, in developing The Nye Incidents, they're turning their attention from ghosts to aliens this time around. Inspired by true events, the graphic novel revolves around a medical examiner on the hunt of a killer of alien abductees. Sounds creepy to me, but maybe that's a good thing.

Christian Bale Steps into The Fighter, David O. Russell Will Direct
Some big news has hit courtesy of Variety tonight. Christian Bale has joined the project The Fighter in the role of Dicky Eklund, the half-bother of Boston boxer "Irish" Mickey Ward, to still be played by Mark Wahlberg. Matt Damon was originally cast in the role of Eklund, then Brad Pitt replaced him at one point, and now it has ended up in Bale's lap. Additionally, The Wrestler director Darren Aronofsky was originally setup to direct this, however he has since moved on and been replaced by David O. Russell, of Flirting with Disaster, Three Kings, and I Heart Huckabees previously, as well as the disastrous project Nailed.

Rumor: Bethesda's Fallout 3 Headed to the Big Screen?
I'm sure that in about 50 years, every video game ever made will be made into a movie. Obviously it has to do with the idea of having a pre-established fanbase surrounding the property, however, some of the stories in video games just aren't fit for the big screen. Fallout does not necessarily fall into the category. Considering the success of the latest game in the series, Fallout 3, I would've imagined that it would already been picked up and in development, but as far as I know, this is the first time I've heard anything about it. Joystiq is reporting that publisher Bethesda Softworks has filed a trademark for theatrical rights.

Sony Launches Terminator Salvation Twitter Viral Game
Sony is trying to take twitter to the next level. The studio has launched a viral game for Terminator Salvation called Resistance 2018 that involves users on twitter joining various resistance squadrons in order to fight the machines. I don't think I need to remind anyone that Terminator Salvation is about John Connor and the resistance he leads against SkyNet. So far we've seen a little bit of viral marketing for Terminator, but oddly this has nothing to do with that SkyNet Research stuff. Sony is distributing this internationally, and this is a Sony viral campaign, and that SkyNet Research is a Warner Brothers thing.

Must Watch: Official Trailer for Charlyne Yi's Paper Heart
Overture Films, who actually just bought this film a few weeks ago, has debuted the trailer for Paper Heart, the faux-documentary starring Michael Cera and Charlyne Yi that debuted at Sundance this year. For a bit of clarification - this is not a real documentary and it was actually scripted, however, as far as I know, Cera and Yi are dating in real life. I know this is an indie film and they've got to sell it to audiences, but some of the best parts are ruined in this trailer. If you know you already want to see this, then I suggest you skip the trailer, and just go anyway. But if you're unsure, then maybe you should check it out.

Demetri Martin Joins the Cast of Steven Soderbergh's Moneyball
Demetri Martin, star of his own show "Important Things with Demetri Martin", is starting to make a name for himself in Hollywood. Not only does he star in Ang Lee's upcoming Taking Woodstock, but he has just been cast in Steven Soderbergh's adaptation of Moneyball. Martin joins alongside of Brad Pitt, who is set to play Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane, who essentially turned his baseball team into a success by crunching numbers. Also joining the cast of Moneyball are a few real baseball players: former Oakland A's team members David Justice and Scott Hatteberg have signed on to play themselves in this.

Check This Out: Official Poster for IFC's In the Loop
IFC has debuted the official poster for the British comedy In the Loop on the politically charged Huffington Post website today. If there is anywhere that is the perfect place to debut this kind of poster, the Huffington Post is definitely it, considering how heavily into politics that newspaper is. As they explain it: "The film was inspired by how over-excited Tony Blair got whenever he set foot in the Oval Office. In fact, it's based on practically every British politician who comes to America and meets famous folk like Vice Presidents and Five-Star Generals and who can't help but get star-struck..." Check out the poster below.
